Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No glass in the bedroom so I used a mug instead. I know they both hold water but I would have preferred a glass!
Breakfast was fine, and the offer of more coffee was very welcome.

Poor TV reception. Despite being only guest for the evening, I couldn't be allocated to another room.
Everything was as I expected as I have stayed here before, but not in the room allocated on this occasion.

The breakfast was a let down! They had no vegetarian sausages, avacado or black pudding on both the mornings myself and my two sons attended breakfast, despite these items being advertised on the menu. Long wait for breakfasts to arrive and when they did arrive the food was lukewarm and the toast was cold and hard. My scrambled eggs were burnt as there were lots of black patches throughout the egg which tasted burnt so i could not eat them. The waitress was pleasant and friendly, but breakfasts disappointing!
Great location. Good size clean room. Slept well, comfy beds. Staff all pleasant and friendly.

Whilst room was comfortable and clean ,staff need a long brush to reach the ceiling to knock a few dust/ cobwebs down. Didn't bother me but a hotel inspector might reduct a point or so for this if there was an inspection.Decor a bit faded but perfectly fine.
Comfortable room ,comfortable bed, Central location.staff helpful. Ideal base. Everything you probably expect for a reasonable price. I would recommend this place and wouldn't hesitate to use again.

No milk in the room, damp towels, cobwebs on the ceiling, not enough t-bags, found hot chocolate in a drawer outside the room, had to ask for cereal selection at breakfast, a bit haphazard.
Great location, very roomy, lovely and warm and very comfy bed. Able to park easy.

As above. No cooked lunch available.
Breakfast fine. Big drawback, which I should have have asked about before booking, was that the bedrooms are on the second floor with no lift.

The breakfast room was quite chilly in the morning.
Breakfast should have been 8am - 9am, it was delayed by half an hour. The cooked breakfast was good overall.

Breakfast seemed rather unorganised. Would be helpful to have cereals, yoghurts, juice sitting out....perhaps a toaster with preserves too. All these things were on menu but had to be asked for. As we were waiting for breakfast we asked about some toast....it comes with ur breakfast was the response! It ticked the boxes for what we required as it was a 1 night stay in the area

The Weather!
Amelia and Tom looked after us just like home. The room was spacious, warm and comfortable bed. The bathroom and shower were excellent. Although they did not do food they recommended the Fish Shop on the corner and the Jewel of India nearly next door.. The location was central 5 mins from bus station and 5 mins from a lovely river Wharfe walk.

No staff, food or drinks in bar on day of arrival from 4pm due to shortage of staff. This was such a shame for 4 weary travellers. No hotel information guide to say what to do in case there was a problem.
Room very clean and warm. En-suite well stocked with toiletries and soap. A good size too. Breakfast a real treat. Staff in the morning of breakfast very professional. Location central and lovely for us.

Room a bit too warm. (Should have turned the radiator off). Shower grouting needs tidying up.
Good location in the town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good beer and breakfast. Nice bedroom, well equipped with, kettle, hairdryer and iron.
