Uncomfortable bed (too soft), and bathroom cramped with no bath.

Authentic decoration, felt safe and with charming staff. Ground floor bedroom. Parking close by.

The food prices, but if you are happy to pay them then there's no issue.

This place did exceed our expectation. I just booked somewhere based on how the rooms looked and didn't even check the restaurant before booking. The prices were a bit eye-watering, but there seems to be a lot of places charging similar in the area. The food however, was fantastic, and there were lots of nice extras included. The staff were really nice, and the room super comfy. Would come again (if I can afford it!!!!)

    There was nothing to dislike.

The room was very good, comfortable, in a building just across the drive from the Swan itself. That was not a problem, our front door was opposite that of the Swan. The food was very good, recommended, served by ever efficient and friendly staff. The location of The Swan lent itself to visiting such places as Horsey Gap, a renowned spot to watch seals resting on the beach below the sand dunes, the Norfolk Tank Museum and The Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum. A trip to visit other locations around The Broads, or Norwich itself, are easy enough to achieve. The Swan stands opposite the local Holy Trinity church which many years ago was the Priory at the centre of the Trinitarian Order. The Church is kept in wonderful condition by the admirable members of its congregation. The Ingham Swan is a fine venue to relax in or use as a base for day trips to areas or places of interest.

There is no footpath from the cottages to the restaurant/bar/main car park. This is fine during the day, but as there is a sharp bend in the road a little dangerous at night. Only a minor point, but worth a mention. The Swan facia is well lit, so perhaps it might be possible to put a sensor light near the corner to show the road?

The best breakfast ever! The staff were very helpful and polite. The decor is relatively new and the room clean and spacious. Full of charm and originality.

    As comments above

Dinner was super, would like to see maybe a bit more seafood on the menu.We really enjoyed our stay, but feel it would be a good thing for the owner chef to make himself known to his guests. We felt the staff were struggling a bit at dinner, and the member of staff whom we asked for our bill, got it wrong twice, and gave us the card machine without showing us the bill,so luckily we checked it.So maybe the owner could do with being around a bit more to keep a hand on his business. Appreciate that he is very busy in the kitchen, and he certainly knows his craft. Will definitely go back, and maybe bring friends along.

Room was quite cold when we arrived, and the bathroom was a little cramped. I had to bend down to see in the mirror. Food was excellent, but the plate selection could have been revised. Trying to eat the delicious fish course out of what appeared to be a type of soup bowl proved tricky. But these are minor quibbles overall

Incredible food with the tasting menu. Delightful, if a little small, room in the converted stable block. V comfy beds and great to see a coffee machine, mineral water etc gratis in the the room. Staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. The food arrived perfectly presented, and with just the right portion sizes on the 7 course taster menu - meaning you finish feeling perfectly satisfied. It's not an endurance event as can often be the case with a tasting menu. The restaurant is small, but perfectly cosy, and is a lovely place to escape (this would especially be true in the winter)

    Can't really fault the Swan

The room, and bathroom, were spotless and the bed very comfortable. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive without being obsequious. Hand pulled beers and a comprehensive wine list complimented the food which was absolutely superb. We has the plat du jour and the tasting menu and enjoyed both equally. Great breakfast too: lovely yellow scrambled eggs and big slices of smoked salmon.
