How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Decoration , could do with redecorate but then, wouldn't get for price
Hotel ideal for price, good facilities friendly staff, will use again. Lovely relaxing stay. Only slight comment on decoration. Could do with a redecorate but at price EXCELLENT

No service on evening 😕 children didn't eat they wanted to order at the hotel and sadly they was unable too leaving them going to bed hungry

No tea and coffee facilities in the room had to pay at a machine downstairs we were right at the top of the hotel

Perhaps a kettle in the room or a bottle waarmer for baby other than that one of the best places weve stayed!
Nice and clean very friendly staff more than willing to help and great entertanment facilities. All in all a fantastic place to stay on a budget highly recomended.

expensive drinks at the bar , room was ridiculously small as it had a double bed in it but it was clearly only big enough for a single bed this room - toilet was leaking from beneath when we went the toilet had to keep putting towels down

Nothing to dislike
Our second or maybe third (?) stay at this location. Always greeted with a warm face at reception. Our check in was quick and easy. Our room had a view of the tower lit up at night..Lots of facilities at this hotel to enjoy. Thanks again. See you in the summer.

The temperature on the shower didn't work so we were stuck with very hot water. The window wouldn't move at all so we were left with a constant cold breeze. The pillows were quite thin but not uncomfortable. Very steep stairs. The bed was listed as double but was more like a single.
It was very good value for money. It couldn't be more of an ideal location if you're wanting the town centre. The room was clean and the TV was excellent. Staff were very friendly and we were able to order drinks past 10pm. Very friendly atmosphere overall.

Needed a second key
Just returned home from a fab stay in blackpool.after reading all the reviews on this place we felt a bit worried on what we would expect.we were greeted by a very friendly guy Martin and checked in.he showed us around the hotel before showing us to the room.the kids loved playing pool and darts and Martin even joined in!.the room itself was great, needed a little freshen up but for four if us it was fine.warm comfy beds and a great shower.we would recommend staying here as couldn't fault it.thanks for a great stay.

I've nothing bad to say.
Great host who showed us round and got us settled in. The lounge / bar area was ideal for a nice relaxing drink before we went out. The hotel was nice and peaceful & easy walking distance to most places of interest. Parking wasn't an issue as we found a car park very nearby. The room was spot on, clean and comfortable. Lovely selection of drinks at the bar & the games room looked like loads of fun but we fell asleep before getting a chance to head down for a game of pool - the kind of sleep which might have woke out neighbors..

No extra pillows (only one pillow in the room per person). Mattresses need replacing, can feel the springs.
Wifi was good. Smart TV wasn’t working on TV.
