Some parts of building tired looking even though it’s a newer part. Eg lamps fall over when switching on as not secured to base

The location looks right on to Luss pier and you can walk down at night to see from another viewpoint

Struggling to think of any negatives, to be honest.

What did I like? Bed as comfy as any I have ever slept in. Bath was amazing ... big and quick to run. Meal in restaurant was superb. Lounge for drinking whisky in, perfect. All in all, a brilliant place to stay and I haven't even mentioned the location!

The cottage had plenty of room for our family and the river running outside was beautiful. The little kitchenette is handy to have when travelling with kids, and the restaurant was excellent. Wish we could have stayed for longer.

Lovely hotel, very clean. Staff were very nice. Our room was cleaned everyday whilst we were there and fresh towels were also left for us, did not expect this.

Some wardrobe/closet space in the bedroom would have been useful, but it really is a tiny thing. Everything was great :)

The hotel is very charming and welcoming. It has wonderful character and our "suite" accommodation was absolutely gorgeous. The accommodation is located a short walk from the main hotel, attached to their holiday cottages, in a beautiful setting by the riverside. The food in the hotel bar-restaurant was also wonderful! The location in the lovely village of Luss, on the shores of Loch Lomond, is superb.

My room was not serviced on day two. I only had the towels changed. The bed was not made nor were the used tea cups washed or the tea bags and milk etc. replenished. The dinner menu was basic and the steak pie lacked flavour. There was no Baileys in the bar and only a small library to relax in.

It's difficult to think of any down points! I'll certainly be back.

Everything was just great and spot-on about this stay. The single room was fine for my needs - comfortable bed, good tea and coffee and toiletries and a decent shower. The hotel had a traditional Scottish country feel to it and the bar was warm and welcoming. A great spread for breakfast and my vegetarian one was cooked perfectly. Staff were happy to substitute an egg for an extra sausage and provide non-dairy milk. I was able to check in with the night porter late at night with no hassle and he was happy to serve me a couple of drinks before I retired to my room. In all, fantastic value for money considering the great breakfast included. Highly recommended.
