Food was expensive and the fish and chips was a bit overcooked. No milk in the room or a note to advise how to get some. Another guest also complained about the same thing. WFI was dreadful

The room was lovely with enough room. The shower was excellent, the bed was soooo comfortable and the room just a hop, skip and a jump from the bar. The food was good, so too the ambience and staff very pleasant. If I were to pass this way again I'd happily stay at The Museum Inn.

Service at dinner was slow, we had the feeling there wasn’t enough staff in to manage the restaurant and bar (which was busy) at the same time - although the staff we encountered were polite and friendly it could perhaps have been a little more proactive. Having said all that, we had a lovely dinner and would return in a heartbeat.

The whole experience at breakfast was really excellent and the lady who served us was superb. The food at dinner was also excellent, room was comfortable, warm and great value.

The shower was very difficult to turn on and off and there were three odd teabags none of which was breakfast tea. We’d have liked milk in the room as when we realised there wasn’t any we were too late to go downstairs. The room was shabby in places and the two steps down to the bathroom were very narrow especially to use during the night. The carpark is small.

We thought the breakfast was very good and the bed was really comfortable. It was quiet after 11 when the bar closed and checkout at 11 was helpful.

Being an older hotel, there are some parts of the ceiling in the rooms that could do with a clean (they are difficult to reach) and some of the curtains and blinds need replacing or updating, as well as some slightly worn carpeting in heavy traffic areas. But this is really nitpicking, its an excellent venue for a cosy getaway.

Excellent with good range of cooked breakfast included in the room rate. Great coffee and friendly service combine with awesome room and atmosphere. Dinner in the restuarant was excellent, highly reccomend the battered sardines. Good wine list to support.

I had steak and it wasn’t the best, very chewy. I wasn’t asked during or after the meal if everything was ok so didn’t bother to complain. I had a free room upgrade but was above a large room that had a party in it, so even though last orders for me was 10pm it was still noisy well after 11pm and all I could hear in my room was them laughing and joking. Wasn’t the cheapest either…. Three Madri’s, rum and coke and my meal was over £58! Would I stop again? Probably, and hope there wasn’t a party going on underneath me.

Had to retune tv, no great hardship, but took a while to work out how to do it. Could have used more teabags in room, only one English breakfast, and I am a tea lover!
