Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Beautiful location.Comfortable bed and sheets. Amazing staff. We attended a wedding nearby.We went to bed late and missed the breakfast time. However, we received a message before checking out inviting us to have it anyway, which was a nice touch. There were quite a few dishes to choose from the breakfast menu and it was freshly cooked. We had eggs royale and both agreed it was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay.

Only two faults are: - apartment didn’t include an iron so I had to request one (and return to next door afterwards) - pillows were a bit flat
Spotlessly clean Friendly staff Great breakfast (inc vegetarian and vegan options) Our apartment felt brand newly renovated, kitchen was very modern with new appliances and bathroom was great

The shower wasn’t very good, kept going hot- cold. The room/ bathroom was also quite dated and smelt a bit of damp.

All good apart from water pressure in shower
The staff were very accommodating, we checked in early had a lovely coffee while they got the room ready. Breakfast was really good - best eggs Benedict! The location is really pretty and peaceful.the

Alice was really great at communicating with us - even allowing us a later check out time which was incredibly helpful. The property is in an amazing location and very clean. The breakfast was the BEST we’d ever had in England!!! Really great and fresh ingredients. The waitress who was serving on 23rd March was absolutely lovely too - unfortunately didn’t get her name. Really really lovely staff and an amazing location. Thank you very much for our wonderful stay!!!

No pub in the village. You have to drive to Garstang for a good selection of pubs and restaurants.
Lovely village location in beautiful North Lancashire between The Forest of Bowland and the River Lune and River Wyre estuaries.

Beautiful location, room comfortable but bed small. Bathroom fab! Massive bath but no bath sheet, the towels were tiny. Lots of choice with tea coffee etc. No decaf tea.. not the end of the world. Breakfast was sooooo good.

Interesting mix of b&b and cafe which served delicious looking cakes! Gorgeous decor throughout with lots of interesting art pieces. The rooms were comfortable and quiet and there was a good choice of breakfast.

nothing was all lovely
The room was really lovely large and very relaxing and extremely warm the staff could not be more helpful we did have soup and sandwich on arrival for which was amazing with tea and coffee for two total £22 what a bargain with expellant service. we also asked for a bottle of wine to be put in our room for when we returned. spot when we arrived back from our day out it was there in a full bucket with ice totally amazing and finally the breakfast 10 out of 10 it was made and presented lovely from a very happy couple ian and jay massive thank you we will see you again.

Nothing much to do unless you like walking. Rooms were a nice size bed was comfortable. Only thing is the pillows were very thin and flat, no spares available. Also is not manned in the evening so noone to ask.

Beautiful very spacious room. Lovely peaceful night away for me and my wife Could not recommend this place more for couples who want peace and quiet, lovely walks, also a few minutes away in a taxi to garstang, great pubs and a great Indian restaurant. I'm going back very soon
