Room 7 in need of some love and attention...2 double windows ( 2x2panes ) all misted permanently which was dissapointing when such beautiful scenery outside.....

Breakfast was fantastic...Hot and freshly cooked...very tasty...Started the days perfectly.... Staff were great, nothing too much trouble.... Stunning location, beautiful scenery and walks right outside the property....

What a lovely paradise. Comfy bed. Tucked away, enchanting and quiet. Great staff and pub food. Loved breakfast, too. It was perfect for a relaxing get away weekend. Loved it that the food and drink was sourced locally.

Only thing I didn't like was that I only had time to spend one night there.

Cosy traditional inn at stunning riverside location. Staff were very friendly, welcoming & helpful. Lovely comfortable & spotlessly clean bedroom with river views. Delicious home cooked food served in the bar, and a good breakfast served in the morning. Good WiFi signal throughout the property. Walks alongside the East Lyn River opposite the hotel are breathtaking.

    Nothing - all good.

We arrived on a motorcycle in atrocious weather; we were wet and cold and given a lovely warm reception and immediately directed towards a roaring fire. We were made feel very welcome. All staff were very kind and friendly and the food was really good. The Landlord and Landlady were lovely hosts and attended to breakfast themselves which was excellent. Highly recommended; would definitely stay there again and excellent value for money.

The Bar area is dog-friendly with plenty of walkers dropping in during the day with various hounds in tow, all were very considerate and made sure their dogs were well-behaved and not intrusive. Not a negative really for us, but if you are not a 'dog person' then you might want to take it into consideration

Warm welcome. The location is beautiful with the River Lyn literally across the road. The room was spotless, towels and bed linen were fresh. Radiators in the room and bathroom or the option to open the windows whatever is your temperature preference. Tea and coffee facilities with limitless supplies. Food is hearty, varied and suits all tastes. The quality is so good and the service times are rapid. Everything arrived piping hot, on hot plates and in very good time. Breakfast is equally good with an extensive choice of cereals, juices and a great variety of cooked options. Every member of staff was friendly and efficient without being 'in your face' If you are looking for a modern, chic boutique stay then this is not for you. If you want comfort, a warm welcome, great food, a nice selection of ales (if that's your thing, I enjoyed a few very well-poured Guinness myself), clean rooms and a great location, book now.

Slightly noisy room, I think the old walls were a bit thin, but comfy bed and well equipped with everything you need.

Great place, tucked away in a valley near Lynmouth. Unfortunately it rained almost every moment we were there (it was December in England), but there was a roaring fire and a warm welcome. Also, great food - the steak and ale pie is well worth a try.

Very little to dislike. Perhaps the installation of a lift/Staff service to carry you to bed afterwards would have been a bonus :)

Breakfast, dinner, and location were excellent. A truly remarkable place with equally remarkable food, drink, and staff. We will be going back again soon. Need more of the Steak and Ale pie and trimmings.
