The Hotel and room are a little shabby and could do with some tlc The bathroom tap was very difficult to turn off The room was quite noisy due to road traffic .

The location was suitable we were attending a funeral. We did not use the restaurant. The room was clean and comfortable We had a nice welcome very polite and friendly.

the reception area puts you off. it smells pretty bad and the main staircase badly needs a new carpet. if they simplified the rooms, removed the four poster element of the bed and hung curtains correctly (not required in the bathroom!) and scrubbed the mould off the ceiling it would be lovely! has so much potential but needs a real overhaul.

Booking said room with terrace we where on first floor with no terrace. No coffee maker as stated on booking. Televisions in bedrooms didn't work. Bed in single room was loosely put together. Skylight was left open in room so bedding was soaked but did get handed replacement bedding to change ourselves. Was supposed to have a bath but had a shower.

There was free parking. Beds where comfortable. Room was a good size

I’d booked a rate some time ago invl including breakfast but on arrival was told the kitchen would be out of action for the 3 nights of my stay but I’d get a refund through booking.com in due course but no further details The hotel was on a noisy road with no double glazing.

It was clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable.

Looked like it had been furnished from a car boot sale, no bedside lights. No evidence of staff at all on second day ( 3 night stay) and while the booking site referred to meals being available - they were not, tho there is a dining room and menus for the in-house Indian about. Bar area at back open on Friday evening and closed Saturday. Strange. One other resident had to leave a note saying no cold water in their room or power for kettle/TV. Don't know if anyone dealt with it. We didd meet the cleaner as she started at 9am two days.

En-suite shower room was clearly quite new and excellent. Instant hot water. But NO PLUG in WHB! However, I always carry one! Bed comfortable. Trip Advisor revues have references to bed bugs, dirty facilities, sticky carpets etc. We saw none of this. It was cheap. Tea/coffee facilities in room and TV. Car parking easy. I think there may have been some facilies upgrade recently.

The bathroom had mould all over the ceiling above the shower. Someone staying in the room previous to us had written "clean me" in the mould. This needs sorting out!! It was disgusting! I didn't see a member of staff to talk about the issue. Our room was also like a sauna! A couple of fans in the room would have been appreciated during the heat wave especially as they had closed the restaurant due to the heat wave. Perhaps fans for you guests??? My husband, children and I did not sleep well at all because of the heat.

The room was a very good size! Booked a family room and we had the main room with double bed and 2 separate room attached with single beds. The room also had a sofa and a small kitchen area.

It’s an old hotel. The owners are making the best of it without forking out for a full refurb.

The room was very small, not a problem in itself but you do have to force the door when you open it as it catches on the side of the bed. (Room 18). No remote for the TV. Exposed wires, they had been twisted together and left exposed, lucky they were just for the Ariel. The bathroom was so small that the door doesn't open fully as it doesn't have enough room, awkward to use the shower as the room was so small. Uncomfortable mattress, didn't get much sleep

The second morning there were 4 adults a d 2 children they refused to give us 4 breakfast and said we had to pay for toast for children also would not allow us to have a second cup of tea, where they did on first morning.

Nowhere to hang clothes, only big chest of drawers. Beds clean but mattress past its best, some springs could be felt. Had to boil kettle on the floor, no power point close enough. Staff lovely though, bar closed on our last night! Couldn't get a drink when we got in at 8pm ish. Building new wall in car park so all bags of cement etc flapped noisily in the night.

Budget Accommodation. Small single with bathroom. Bed was a little soft for me but it was only for one night and was fine. I arrived late but let them know and they kindly arranged to leave the key and when I arrived directed me via webcam to it!
