Everything to like about my stay. Great location with parking. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Thoroughly recommend and will not hesitate to stay again if back in the area.

Nothing really! Perhaps a little bit more options for continental breakfast, but for the price I paid I cannot complain at all. My eggs royale was lovely.

Great value for money, my hotel room was enormous with a hallway dressing room, bath tub and sofa. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming too. Would absolutely recommend and would stay again.

The rooms were a bit dated and dark. I didn't like the privacy from the room and being able to see through to another window when in the bedroom or bathroom so felt we had to keep the blinds down. I had a really good nights sleep though and the bed was really comfortable for me. We had 3 rooms booked and the others found the noise from the pub annoying

The restaurant was really nice and cozy and all food was really tasty, Breakfast offered a great choice. The staff were all really helpful.

Heaters in our room did not work. Ask them to look at it, they never did. Carpet leading up to the rooms are very dirty and smell especially the area near the kitchen.

Was a bit noisy from people out side .However it was a Saturday night and my room was at the front so wouldn't say this was a big issue and it didn't stop me from sleeping...

We had to use 2nd floor only lift to 1st floor, the room was cold at night, room telephone didn't work , unable to provide rubber shower mat, shower head couldn't be angled.

Lift only to first floor, our room on second. No hand rails on bannisters or bannisters on short flights of stairs. Fire doors at top of stairs too close to first step, door almost catapulted me downstairs, which was funny but dangerous. Bathroom floor dangerous when exiting bath, put my foot out onto mat which slipped away causing me to almost do the splits across edge of Bath.

Dirty bath. Part of handbasin tap missing Room 8 . The room was very cold when I arrived so a turned the radiators up to full heat but the room became only just warm enough. The lights in the bedroom were not bright enough to read by. The room was along way from reception being up two flights of stairs and along two additional corridors also with one or more steps

This was our first time in Scotland and we did not expect the beautiful treatment we received at Royal Hotel. The staff were so lovely, understanding, helpful, kind and friendly. They honestly made our stay so amazing, did everything to accommodate for a disabled guest and made it easy. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The restaurant interior was modern, beautiful and had a peaceful energy to it. The breakfast was delicious. Thank you so much to all staff, especially Rori and Lynsey. We’ll definitely be back.

Late Saturday night I was woken up by noise from the venue next door. No butter & marmalade put out at breakfast. At times the tv was a bit stressful - this is only the third time I have used a modern broadband tv.

A very large modern room with huge tv and a large bathroom with a proper sized bath. Plenty of wardrobe space for hanging up clothes and somewhere to put my walking boots off the floor to dry.

Limited parking and parking in the school grounds didn't seem safe/secure

Booked an overnight to allow us to visit family at Xmas. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. We also had a meal in the restaurant which was lovely. A great breakfast too. Will stay here again.

Our room was very clan and comfortable. The bathroom was evidently equipped for disabled guests in a wheelchair, so using the wash basin required a limbo!

Very clean. Loved the decor. Very pleasant staff. Good food and drink at a reasonable price.
