On the weekend. The breakfast between 8:30 and 9:30, the times were a bit restrictive, and the closing of the bar at 10. But I do understand that the staff were having to run a pub, deal with food and run the hotel side. So it wasn't a deal breaker

There really wasn't anything wrong with it. If I had to struggle to say something then it wasn't the most glamourous room I've stayed in but I didn't need or want it to be. It was perfectly sized for one or two people and had plenty of storage.

I stayed three nights in the en-suite single room which was absolutely spotless and cozy even when the night got chilly. The breakfast was exceptional and the staff went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. I would return without a moments hesitation. The location is in the centre of Bowness which is perfect if you want everything on your doorstep. Also the pinot grigio blush was amazing.

Breakfast times are from 0830-0930. Compared to most hotels it is very squeezed . Would be desirable if it is at least till 1000 if not 1030 am

Lovely family pub located 2 minute walk from the lake. Surrounded by lots of pubs and restaurants. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the gentleman who worked at the bed and breakfast. They supported us with parking our car for the overnight and then we paid our room, then was given the key for the day when we returned at check in time we did not need to wait or complete all the check in process then. This was impressive for us as we had a lot more flexibility. Room was pristine and very homely. Surprisingly quiet even though it’s above a pub however we heard no noise. In the morning we were greeted at breakfast, with cooked to order fresh breakfasts and some yogurts and cereals then we left to return home. Would be booking again when we next visit. Fabulous accommodation and business.

Parking was a bit tight but was accommodated ,everything else great.

We booked this on the day on Monday 4th March, after making an umplanned trip to Bowness. We made a great choice. The Royal Oak is a lovely olde pub with character. The room (room 2) was big and spacey and welcoming. The bathroom had a bath and a shower. The bed was a super king size and so comfy and we also had a lovely view of some of the town, lake and mountains. We ate an evening meal in the pub, roast beef dinner which was excellent. Breakfast was also top notch. Staff were very welcoming. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you.
