Bathroom in need of refurbishment, difficult to find a mirror with good lighting and socket close by, barking dogs in rooms.

Lovely position on High Street, good parking, restaurant with conservatory and cosy living room style creates options, staff very friendly and helpful.

Booked it as lovely building, but arrived to find our room in travel lodge style building in rear carpark, room need some TLC with bad paintwork, do dodgy light fittings and mouldy shower room.

The building is lovely and the staff in the restaurant are great.

Locks broken on ground floor bedroom window so unable to secure.

Easy to find, and a good location. The rooms are a good size and are clean. The Wifi works well in the rooms. There is a good restaurant and bar on site, the staff are very polite. Plenty of parking, but there is a charge.

It was a little rough around the edges and could do with a refurbishment in one or two areas. The cleanliness was adequate but there was a little evidence of previous occupants of the room.

I liked its brilliant location close to the RHS garden at Wisley. The staff were helpful, polite and cheerful. The breakfast was good.

Having to pay for parking when we were hotel guests. Ok for a night but we wouldn’t consider staying for a few nights because the parking charges would mount up considerably. Only two breakfast tea bags supplied in room. Surely the hotel could run to four! We would have liked to have had a cup of tea on arrival but had to save them for the following morning! Some ceiling spotlights not working in the room.

Pleasant staff and reasonable value for money

Cleanliness in room, bins not emptied from previous guest, pubic hairs around toilets and in shower drainage hole, noise issues in that we could hear people as if they were in the room with us as they walking about creaking floors and steps, was also woken up by someone coughing and another sneezing in adjacent rooms

Original features and kept the old history of the building

We were presented with a £10 charge for parking which has never happened before, with the staff saying that it had come in within the last 3 months, but no mention of this on your website. Your website said we had booked a courtyard facing room but we were told that that was only for an executive room, or whatever the terminology was. We prepaid for dinner, £60, and then were told it couldn’t be used for any of our drinks bill. It was £60 we had paid and regardless of whether we had not spent it on food it would contribute towards any costs we had incurred. All of this should be clear when booking and none of it was. Lovely staff who were clearly embarrassed by this.

We have been here several times and it has normally been great.

A lot of the furnishings are a bit tired and Brocken (makeup mirror in shower room ) and the teapot at breakfast had a chip out of the lid. Our stay this time was much better as the room was a lot cleaner but you are getting there.

The room although comfortable was lacking in good housekeeping. Very dirty corners of the room. Also duvet not big enough for the bed so kept waking up cold

Nice old building very friendly staff quiet and comfortable. Lovely food the fish and chips are really good and the choice at breakfast is different and freshly cooked
