Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryThe noise isolation is a bit weak, we could hear our upstairs neighbors, especially their steps on the floors. And it is a bit difficult to get upstairs with heavy luggages since there's no elevator.
Staff was very welcoming, great atmoshpere in the pub/restaurant area. Room was great also with a nice bed. Bathroom was huge with a lot of space and both shower and tub. Breakfast was simple but tasty, with some extra choices possible.

United KingdomFood, although lovely, was overpriced with service charge added on, we would have tipped for good service anyway but didn't like being expected to do so, just a minor quibble. Location was not a village as I expected, just a main road really. The car park was full when we arrived so consequently we came back early from our exploration of nearby villages the next day in case we couldn't find a space on our return, so didnt really make the most of our weekend in the beautiful Cotswolds area. We feel the addition of spaces reserved just for hotel guests would be an advantage, again a minor quibble
The staff were fabulous, hotel was spotless and comfortable. The bars/restaurant were comfortable and beautifully decorated, loved the traditional snug with log fire. Our room was lovely, super king bed & walk in shower and bath. Tea and coffee facilities were plentiful with the addition of homemade flapjacks on the first day. Our room overlooked lovely seating areas outside in a well kept garden plus a sheltered, heated area and an outside bar which I imagine would be fabulous in the summer months

United KingdomGood country pub which has been updated to feel modern without losing character features. Rooms above pub were pretty large with a giant bed and nice and warm. Lovely touch to have fresh milk available for tea/ coffee and a mat for your dirty shoes. Pub staff were welcoming and chatty, food was good and vibe very nice as there were plenty of locals in as well.

United KingdomThe only thing we thought could be better was the WIFI but this said, the weather outside was wet and very windy so I'm sure it was simply down to the conditions outside. I have to say, you'll struggle to find any fault here.
Every single member of staff we met was friendly and polite. The Inn is beautiful and clean with plenty of room. The bathroom was huge, which was great with two kids at bathtime! Breakfast was 'yummy' (my sons accurate description) and the lady looking after us was so unbelievably patient and helpful. We also enjoyed a lovely evening meal - the peas with the fish and chips are delicious! The pictures online are lovely but the Inn was much more beautiful in person. The complimentary flapjacks were a tasy, welcome addition! We are looking forward to returning in the summer after such a great stay.

United KingdomNothing to dislike. However, the hot water tap in the basin may need some repair as it was difficult to turn at times.
The Inn was phenomenally maintained. The atmosphere was fabulous. Owner Tracey and her team took good care of us. Loved the food and drinks. The 4 poster bed was cosy and tidied up daily. It made our 4-night stay fantastic. Also, really close to the Shipton station. Walkable distance to the village shops in Milton-under-Wychwood. Bus service to Witney was available on weekdays from the nearby bus stop. Our stay in Cotswolds was made special by the stay here.

United KingdomA little noisy until after closing but that's to be expected when staying in a pub.
A pretty Inn close to the Cotswold town of Chipping Norton. We had a beautiful room with a very large, comfortable bed. Lovely table in the bar for dinner next to an open log fire. The staff were all excellent. We were on motorbikes so were glad of secure parking.
