Bathroom needs redecorating/re-tiling. Bed was smaller than expected - should be a super king at least, for the size of room and for guest comfort. This is nitpicking tho', we enjoyed our stay.

I had not booked an evening meal and ordered at the bar on the night. Perhaps my own fault but I did wait rather too long for my meal to be served. Staff were very pleasant though. The nearby table with young people were too noisy. Bar open to the public I assume.

Lovely traditional room and reception/hall etc. Room was quiet. Comfortable bed. Room of good size. Good convenient parking. Centrally located. Convenient for motorway and other routes.

Nothing to complain about really (except the price of wine!) very pleasant, will be back!

Breakfast was excellent, room was tired and could do with a brighten up! but clean and bed very comfortable. Was not the room i had clicked on picture wise on the booing.com website, but that's not the hotel's fault. Was still very nice. Could tell there were some improvements being made, as the top corridor was freshly painted and clean. Had an evening meal here one night, again food was very good. Wine very expensive, like London prices, for some reason, but was nice. Staff were exceptional. Honestly not stayed anywhere before where the staff were as polite and approachable (as they should be) Clearly managed well and respected very much, made the whole stay really memorable.

The duvet was too thick we were too hot, and couldn't open the windows because it was a stormy night.

The hotel was very well presented, all staff were really friendly. The food and service at dinner was excellant.

Everything was fine.

I booked the room for my nephew, on his return to the UK from Australia. He was delighted with the room and with the breakfast. He felt well looked after, and I am grateful to all the staff who looked after him.

Breakfast and dinner was priced very reasonably and was adequate and enjoyable in equal measure. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable, clean and well equipped with a stunning view of the river and serounding countryside. One of the staff who served us, George was particularly helpful and pleasant and made our stay very enjoyable. Would happily heartily recommend.

The staff, especially Carol who was by far the friendliest, loveliest lady at the hotel, were very helpful and friendly. The location was excellent, the food was fabulous and a good value for money, it was clean and they were painting it and refurbishing it when we were there. put us off going again.

I really don't like that you allow dogs in the bar where people are eating. Even when I asked to be seated away from dogs this could not be provided without going into the restaurant. Remember not everyone likes dogs around their food.
