Everything! The location is absolutely fabulous, Sue and Avril were so welcoming and very accommodating, the room was beautiful with views over the Loch and the breakfast was amazing especially as I am GF and DF - we would definitely recommend and hope to return one day!

Everything was just exceptional! Probably the best guest house we stayed so far. Sue and Avril were awesome! Room was spotless and breakfast was fabulous! We loved the place so much that we extended our stay about one night and hopefully we will be back soon. Juraj & Zlata

Really tidy, clean and comfortable stay. The best we had during our travelling through Scotland. The lady of the house welcomed us with tea by the fireplace. She also recommended a really nice restaurant to have dinner.

There is nothing to not like. Its just perfect.

Sue and Avril are excellent hosts. They made sure our stay was perfect. Fantastic breakfast, with fresh produce and tasted amazing. This is our second visit, and will definitely return next year as the location is perfect. Highly recommended for a quiet,relaxed, comfortable, and luxurious stay.

We were very pleased that the atmosphere in Thistle House has remained unchanged even after more than 5 years. We once again felt like we were being taken into a warm hug, which of course was also thanks to the lovely hosts. We will definitely come back and are looking forward to our next visit.

We had an absolutely lovely stay for 2 nights. Sue and Avril were exceptional hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The room overlooking Loch Fyne was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The welcoming coffee and cakes sitting in the sunshine overlooking the Loch was an unexpected surprise and set the tone for the duration of our stay. Breakfast was fabulous local produce cooked freshly to order and offered a lovely selection. We highly recommend this accommodation and will most certainly revisit .

We arrived early to a very warm welcome from host Sue. We were offered a cup of tea, cake and biscuits. Sue offered us the choice of two rooms. The location is excellent overlooking Loch Fyne and Inverary. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast choice was vast and very nice.

Beautiful Guest House in a stunning location. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the views over Loch Fyne. The hosts Sue and Avril are lovely and so accommodating nothing was too much trouble. We got tea and biscuits on arrival in the lounge with an open fire overlooking the loch. The room was beautiful with stunning views over the loch and the breakfast was superb. We will definitely come back and stay here again my girlfriend and I absolutely loved our stay at The Thistle Guest House.

Thistle House hosts were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. There was a comfortable lounge to sit in and the breakfast was delicious, with a wide range of foods to suit all tastes.

We were met by the owner on arrival. We were early but she graciously accomodated us with our room. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable bed. Wonderful view of Loch Fynn and Inverary Castle. Easy drive to Inverary for shopping and site seeing. Wonderful breakfast provided.

I stayed here was absolutely lovely I stayed here with my mum and step dad and we had a great time. The actual house is beautiful from the outside and well put together there’s good parking facilities clearly marked spaces and seating outside of the house for looking across the spectacular view. There’s quite a bit of land around as well which gives for a lovely quiet stay where you can admire the view and read your favourite book. When we entered we were greeted and offered coffee or tea and obviously being British we needed the cuppa after our drive we sat down to relax and were brought are drinks with additional banana bread (scrummy) and shortbread. We were showed the room which had lovely wallpaper with matching dressing table and wardrobe all the facilities were extra clean and tidy and was a lovely bedroom environment with again complimentary tea coffee and biscuits (salted caramel this time). Breakfast is done on a time booking slot and as we had to be gone early the next morning we weren’t able to have breakfast although after explaining to sue and her sister they offered to do us croissants and goodies to take with us as “you can’t leave without a breakfast it’s the most important meal” so that evening they completed us a goodie bag for are trip including food for all of us water and some grapes. It was a lovely stay and felt really welcoming. There’s also a guest lounge with pretty furnishings although we only popped are heads in. THANK YOU Maria

The house was beautiful, so tastefully decorated, so much charm. The bed was comfortable. The owners were wonderful. They offered us tea and biscuits upon arrival. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We loved our stay there.\

Sue and Avril were charming hosts and made us feel so welcome. All of the rooms were tastefully decorated. Our bed was very luxurious and we had the best 2 sleeps of our 3 week vacation. The delicious breakfasts were served in the charming dining room. We simply had to buy a piece of the locally made pottery that the preserves were served in. The view of Inverarry was lovely. We would highly recommend Thistle House.

We are so glad we chose to stay at Thistle House rsther than take the easy option of staying in one of the bigger hubs around Loch Lomond.. Sue and Avril are the most delightful hosts. Very welcoming and accommodating. Great breakfast. Not to mention their stunning building with its spectacular view back across Loch Fyne. We had to leave before usual breakfast time and they were even able to arrange a lighter earlier breakfast for us before we left. Look no further for your most peaceful stay in this stunning part of Scotland.

Beautiful building and setting - facing the lake with a view across to Inveraray Castle. Shared spaces were lovely - comfortable and relaxing, including outside seating. Staff were lovely, suggesting local restaurants and information about the area. Breakfast great.
