I didn’t like the room we were allocated. It was very small and quite dark but staff were very helpful and moved us to a bigger room.

We had a rattle in one of the windows which was easily solved by inserting some tissue paper. There is no lift at the front of the building but we were only on 1st floor so not an issue for us. Although our room was on the front, we didn't have any road noise.

Our first room was a little small but the staff were extremely helpful and, as the hotel wasn't fully booked, allowed us to swap rooms. Our new room was excellent with two bay windows and a large bed. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was excellent! I had duck and my husband the steak and kidney pudding. Both were delicious but next time I would definitely have a pudding! Breakfast was self-service and perfectly adequate.

Unfortunately, for us, the bed was way too hard.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly. The quirky way our room was sloping due to the age of the building!

I am not sure really: I guess the only thing would have been that the car park was closer to the entrance has bringing my parents in on a wheelchair wasn't so easy. It's a very reasonable distance were it not for bringing two disabled parents with me. If the drop off parking space at the front was a permanent disabled one, it would have been easier - but I got my steps in with bringing all the bags, mobility scooter, wheel chair etc!!

We had a totally delicious meal in the evening and the morning breakfast staff were kind. The receptionist on the evening we arrived (female) was lovely and kind, especially helpful with access as both my parents are disabled and there was a lot of running about to be done. It was the eve of mother's day and despite having lost her mother, she and I were able to talk about how lucky we are to have the people we love to spoil and support. This sort of individual touch and conversation makes staying at a place special: it was weeks ago now, but see how well I remember the conversation? Thank you.

Young staff at breakfast first day were not organised, had to wait for coffee for 15 minutes, layout if breakfast room seemed strange and was very stark. The second day was much better. There was no draft bitter,

Better selection of draught lager in the bar, as there was only one on draught, one ale and guinness.

For the price per night, the breakfast seemed steep at £15 each, so we headed out and ate in Broadway at one of the cafes. One of the pubs (nearest to the cross hands) was very local, lots of head turns and scowls when we walked in but the other pub in the village was very welcoming!

Really welcoming receptionist ans front of house staff were excellent. Went above and beyond to accommodate the dog, the room had a secure courtyard area and dog biscuits and bowls in the room, even a dog towel and blanket! We had the savoury pudding club for evening meal and it was excellent. Really nostalgic stay. Rooms could do with modernisation in the bathroom but were clean and comfortable
