Variety and timing of breakfast was great, Ann very accommodating ! Location was ideal- walk into town , but for us near our friends house. Magnificent views from the Guest lounge- lovely to have that facility .

Location could be a bit difficult to navigate due to the steep inclines. The property had a very mild smell of cigarette smoke outside of the room.

Bharat and Ann were very accommodating, kind and helpful, the breakfast was delicious. The room was well-equipped, lovely en-suit bathroom. Very nice views from the lounge and dining room.

Bharat and Ann was amazing hosts nothing was too much trouble. Very comfy large bedroom and beautiful guests lounge with terrace. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. We will definitely be back

Bharat was very welcoming and helpfully sent us in advance a list of places to eat in the area, together with clear directions for locating the house. Our bedroom was large, tastefully furnished, clean and comfortable. At this time of year, heaters in b&b and hotel bathrooms often prove inadequate, but that was not the case at Torlands. No chilly shiverings and damp towels for us. The spacious guest lounge on the top floor is lovely, with stunning views across the surrounding countryside.

Driveway has a very steep angle so if your car is very low you may scrape. My sensors were going berserk.

We were given a warm welcome by our host Bharat. The property could only be described as luxurious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location is very convenient for visiting Monmouth, Ross on Wye and the surrounding area. Our room was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and a roomy, hot shower., and we also had the use of the most stunning guest lounge. We woke to a delicious breakfast. The only problem with our stay was it was not long enough! Thank you Bharat and Ann, we hope to be back soon.

Bharat and Ann made us feel very welcome in their beautiful home. Breakfast is a treat with Bharat serving up everythig just as you like it while being an amiable and helpful host. A great choice of accommodation.

The only thing that some people might like (we weren't too bothered) would be a smart TV, as WiFi is provided.

The breakfast was lovely - my wife is a vegetarian and this was catered for really well. The location was up a hill, so the views were stunning, especially when looking out of the lounge window.

A warm welcome from Bharat to their lovely home which was extremely clean and well appointed. All comforts were provided in the spacious bedroom. Breakfast cooked by Bharat was delicious and located in the dining room with spectacular views.

Bharat was very accommodating and welcoming into his home. Super kind and lovely home stay experience. The room was comfortable with complimentary shower gel and more, everything you would expect from a good hotel or more! It’s the small things that made the difference like tea, coffee and hot chocolate for the room, with complimentary kitkats for us! Breakfast was impressive, a home cooked full English meal which was kindly cooked by Bharat. Would 100% recommend staying here. We had a car which worked well for us driving into town but walking may be a little more difficult! Overall what a wonderful nights stay 😊

One of the best rooms I have ever stayed in. Very large bedroom and bathroom with all facilities. In easy reach of Monmouth by car, 5 minutes at most. Quite a steep hill to climb if walking.

The steep driveway might put some off but we loved the resulting view.

It was a beautiful view from the location and easy to find just outside the main town centre. We were made welcome and all the facilities matched expectation for the overnight stop. The hosts were superb and catered a full gluten free breakfast and even checked everything with us for allergies and suitability. This care to detail made us feel well looked after in a special way. The breakfast was the highest quality cooked to order and offered a wide range of options. We slept in a large room with comfortable bed and great on suite facilities. A shame we could not stay longer.

Located some distance and up a steep hill from the town centre - really necessary to drive. Although the is parking, it is small. Breakfast could have bee better.

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Wonderful hosts, big room with huge en-suite and comfy bed. Was only there for one night, but would return in a heartbeat! Missed breakfast as had to make an early start, but it smelt and looked amazing. Much better than a mainstream hotel. A great find. Well done folks!!

Very pleasant experience. The room was beautiful with the availability of a lounge with spectacular views of the Black Mountains. Bharat and Ann were very genial hosts and the breakfast next morning was excellent.
