Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Slightly dated Shower over bath instead of stand alone. No atmosphere in bar, not a lot of comfortable seating in bar area. Drink very expensive

The hotel (especially room and corridors) had a bit of a has-been business feel about it (ancient coffee stains on '90s carpets, etc.) but nothing actually wrong with it. Great value for money. Spacious comfey room and bed. Nice clean facilities.
Great value for money! The location is perfect. Just inside the walled city itself, just outside the Bogside. Derry is well worth visiting! Make sure to take a walking tour or two with www.bogsidehistorytours.com and/or www.derryguidedtours.com. Both great! Really likeable personal guides! Really know their facts! You'll fall in love with Derry and its people!

Pillow. A little too high and hard for me. The bed however was good and the room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast. Very good. Great location. Beside the city walls and near restaurants and bars. Quiet room that was allocated. (We are retired and there was a wedding). Lucky to get a car space. (first come, first served but parking closeby on Fahan Street) Staff.

The bar area not very comfortable or relaxing for food or drink.... Hard environment,a bit noisy and not at all cosy or welcoming. Staff are lovely...

Certain parts of the room are a little tired but couldn't at all fault the cleanliness or location

Quilt too warm, dinner menu could have more veg and salad options but otherwise all 4 of our group were very happy with our stay.
All staff very friendly, helpful and efficient. Perfect location for sightseeing a 2 day stay. Breakfast excellent.

You have to go to the hotel to find out if there are any spaces in the underground carpark but there are double yellow lines outside so nowhere to wait while you check. Our deluxe family room had an extra bed in it over by the dressing table but no light by it (I travel prepared so had a torch for overnight). The toilets off reception need a bit of an upgrade. I found it very noisy, but I am a light sleeper, and it is a city so you have to expect some noise, but apart from motorbikes early in the morning it was other residents who were creating the noise so no fault of the hotel.
Staff were very nice, online check-in easy. Room was spacious, breakfast was good in terms of plenty and taste. Linen very clean, beds very comfortable.

Need to stop using Food Service companies to supply food, bacon, sausages, hash browns, beans. All low quality & not going to encourage people to eat in

Our room was next to the kitchen extractor fan so as soon as you opened the window all you could smell was a fatty odour Would’ve been a problem if we stayed in the summer also the humming noise the extractor made could be an issue for light sleepers….
