Staff were wonderful. The food was excellent, no worries 😁 The room 107 was spotless. The bathroom was one of the best I've been to. Such a lovely surprise, definitely recommend.

This time we had a room above the kitchen and could feel the room shake when a door slammed beneath us. Didn't detract from our stay but would ask not to be in that room again when booking our next visit

Second time here and loved it again! Lovely setting, rooms, staff, food...just perfect! It seriously is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and will visit again.

The company allows dogs and one dog was crawling all over the sofa , the bar staff were aware but did not tell the dog owner that it was not allowed on the furniture

Beautifully refurbished hotel with pleasant room and smart ensuite bathroom. Very interesting historically. Good tea and coffee making facilities. Bedding was cosy and bed comfortable. Staff helpful.

Room was above kitchen which had some acceptable noise (music) and smells but offset by great comfy bed..

Service charge automatically added to food bill. Happy to tip staff but don’t like the 10% surcharge. Yes, you can opt out but that’s just awkward.

Nothing! Not a problem but car park is small and gets full up quickly. There are plenty of public car parks nearby and it is cheap compared to where we live!

Excellent choice of breakfast on menu. All freshly cooked, nicely presented and hot. Staff were always around to ask if anything was needed. Really friendly, efficient staff. Evening meal in the restaurant was superb. Comfortable room, very tastefully decorated. Interesting information about the history of this old hotel. Would definitely stay again and thoroughly recommend the hotel

We liked the hotel, and the upgrade bedroom was very welcome, although the bed sloped to one side and my wife felt as if she might roll out, but apart from that, great, all the staff were splendid, but l was a bit disappointed with the place l had for my evening meal, breakfast was great, many thanks for an enjoyable stay. Nothing really ..the room was too warm for our liking...easily remedied by opening a window! Our breakfast order was lost and we had to wait quite a while for it to arrive but The manager refunded the cost without me even asking. I was happy to just accept that these yhing happen occasionally!

We had inadvertently left a bag behind on a previous visit and the staff tried very hard to contact us but had to give up. It was carefully stored and returned to us with efficiency and courtesy.

The room was too warm - we couldn't turn the red hot bathroom radiator down. When we opened the windows to cool the room down, it became very noisy from people gathered at the bus stop outside.

A gorgeous place, full of character with excellent Tudor style paintings on the walls.

We could not turn the towel rail off and it was very hot in the bathroom and bedroom. Parking is an issue and we left ours in the town carpark, luckily buying a late ticket carries over the hours until the next day.

Hotel in a good position in town. Great room overlooking the River and flooded Ham. Quiet and really comfortable.
