We have no complaints whatsoever and didn't dislike anything.

Our sea view room was spacious and comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant on two of the three nights and the choice and quality of food was exceptional. Every member of staff that we met was very helpful and friendly. The location is superb being just a 10 minute walk down to the centre of Robin Hoods Bay and the beach.

The room was very warm and spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and the waiter in the resteraunt was was very friendly and funny. He was great x The meal was delicious too.

The room needed a more thorough vacuum. There were just a few bits that had been missed. Everything thing else was spotless.

The views are stunning and all the staff were friendly. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious. If the weather is nice you can sit outside, There's even a canopy if it's raining.

Room was very draughty, poor fitting window, and the radiator was only on for a very short time. The extra heater was not adequate to heat the room.

Excellent accomodation, breakfast and location. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely welcome with staff waiting to open door when we arrived and after a walk.

The hotel was being refurbished and the mattresses where everywhere the builders had left their tools in the bedroom and not cleaned up after they had left a Stanley knife and chisel plus a screwdriver. Cobwebs on the ceiling jacuzzi not working someones sock had been left in the room that was not ours. We were not told about the work being carried out over our stay.

This was a great find. Ancient and modern together with wonderful views. Really comfortable bed in a decent sized room. And the staff were so helpful and accommodating. Well done team. We'll be back.

This hotel is exceptional, lovely friendly staff, super room, very comfortable, supplied with Elemis toiletries and lovely thick towelling robes. Excellent food served in the orangery with fabulous view over the bay. Great surrounding area, close to Whitby and Scarborough.

The mattress was very soft, but that’s all - still managed a decent sleep.

Location - the sea view was amazing, wonderful breakfast, friendly efficient staff. Elemis products, lovely robes to lounge in. Whitby gin was a nice touch as well as nice biscuits and tea/coffee

The shower was rubbish and the room was quite dated. There were building/maintenance works going on, which we weren't advised of when booking. These were noisy during breakfast at 8.30 - I would recommend asking them to start at 9.30 after guests have had their breakfast as we were still trying to wake up! The carpets were filthy from work dirt around the hotel and weren't hoovered during our stay.

Fantastic food - one of the best meals I've ever had. Beautiful views. Lovely staff - especially the head waiter. Really nice dining area (orangery) and lots of character. Walkable to the village.

Our room was quite small but we were aware it was a compact room when we made our (very last minute) booking. No remote for the air con unit.

The location is superb, and the availability of parking on site is a real bonus. We had a very friendly welcome from reception staff. The staff were all very friendly in fact and we felt that our custom was appreciated. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and there was a good choice for vegetarians and vegans. The food was local and seasonal which we always appreciate. There was also a selection of non alcoholic drinks available. Breakfast was also excellent. There was a great choice of food on offer; porridge, kippers, omelettes, as well as the usual full English and continental. We would definitely stay again!
