Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOn my first night, the Friday evening, I didn't get back till quite late, between 11.30pm & midnight, I think, and the heat had gone off. ( I wouldn't normally comment, but the temperature had dropped quite a lot.
Almost everything. Lovely place, very comfy and clean.

United Kingdomonly negative was that breakfast time offering was extremely limited and early, only available 7.30am-8.30am, this was new years eve morning!
room was really spacious with nice patio area. bed was comfy and location was right on the high street, perfect! central heating was on full blast though and could have done with being a little lower or a control in the room as we couldn't turn it down.

United KingdomThe disco night on Saturday was quite noisy until 11 pm.
The room was in the courtyard of a traditional country pub with a cosy atmosphere, including real fireplace. The breakfast room was converted to an Indian restaurant in the evenings. Excellent walking from the pub with direct access to the Cotswold Way.

United KingdomI can imagine if you were in the rooms closer to the courtyard, they may have been a bit noisy on a Friday or Saturday night.
The breakfast could be personalised and there was real attention to food allergies / intolerances which was hugely appreciated! The room was comfy & well equipped.

SpainAs they mention in there advertising, this is a thriving local pub so you will hear noise until closing time but as long as you expect that, everything was great.
Breakfast is comprehensive and good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pub is a proper English pub without any pretentions which I loved. Locals were friendly and gave advice about where to eat in Campden.

United KingdomWe thought that £121 per night was expensive. However, Chipping Camden generally was expensive. As we were attending a wedding it was a necessary expense.
The location was just what we wanted. The young lady who checked us in was lovely. The room was a little old fashioned and there were no coat hangers. Also, as it was above the bar a bit noisy. The lady serving breakfast was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was great.

United KingdomIf you were staying for a few days, you would definitely need somewhere to hang your suits/dresses even if it was just a basic clothes rail.
The room had all that you'd need for a short stay. The bed was really comfortable. Lovely breakfast on the morning I checked out - my compliments to the chef, Kim. A nice, quiet surrounding once the bar below had closed.

United States of AmericaWe chose this place the night before because we changed our itinerary and not many good location places left, plus I liked the history aspect of the place. It has 7.9 rating so we booked it. Street parking but it is free. Arrived 45 minutes before check in but everything (bar& office)was closed so we sat and waited until someone showed up. We didn’t know what else to do. They did open and check us in (staff was great!). They did warn us about the pub and noise at night. When we walked up the narrow stairs with new cheap cheap cheap carpeting, hubby and I looked at each other. The room was very small with a tiny, I mean tiny bathroom. Our window was right above the outside part of the pub. Locals were there having fun drinking and cursing away at 4pm. We didn’t have towels (they were surprised) They immediately gave us towels (Great service!)but the towels were old. I’m used to bright white towels, these were old, blue like my towels I use to bathe my dogs. We were done. For £20 more, we moved to another place down the street that thankfully had a cancellation. That place had a 8.1 rating but wow what a difference! We really have no complaints because they didn’t do anything wrong but it wasn’t for us so we did not ask for refund. Think Travelodge vs Marriott. This was a Travelodge. We left after 2 hours. Funny thing was when we checked out 2 hours later, not one question was asked as to why or if everything was ok. Nothing. Was just given very cheery “thank you! Have a great day!”. That was it. Hmmmm. Made us think of what this place is really used for. Ratings are really relative.
Staff was great and very friendly. They are open, honest and upfront about their place in the booking and upon arrival. It IS a pub with rooms but I thought it was an Bed n breakfast. They did check us in early (3pm instead of the 3:30pm checkin time). Many hikers stayed here. Clean and cheap place to stay. I mean, cheap place to stay. If you’re not picky or persnickety at all, perfect!
