Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe decoration was a little dated, and the windows and window frames could have done with a bit of TLC.
Both the bedroom and en-suite were larger than I was expecting, with a very comfortable large 4 poster bed, plenty of room for clothes storage. The hotel was situated on a quiet street and even though we were at the front of the hotel near the road, we had a peaceful nights sleep, breakfast was good especially the cooked food.

We liked the location. Although bit of walk into town. The gentleman that was there was very polite and helpful.

United KingdomThe room was dirty and had a big stain on the carpet. Our conservatory had a broken pane of glass in it, which meant we couldn't enjoy it as intended. The decor is quite tired and the manager isn't the most chatty.
The location was great; really convenient for stopping in Bath. A beautiful period property not too far away from the centre, but far enough away to enjoy the scenery and local pubs. The four poster bed was extremely comfortable as well.

New ZealandHotel felt tired ,in need of some TLC, paid extra for "luxury" room ,bed was very wobbly. Shower was barely warm So I was little disappointed with the £100 a night I'd paid, BUT I understand that the hotel industry is struggling in our current economy.
Location wasn't too far of a walk into central Bath(20 minutes) plenty of parking. Room had a nice sunroom/lounge

United KingdomThis hotel is literally advertised as “free parking” what it needs to say is “limited parking”, we arrived about 9pm to discover there was no parking left. When asked at reception we were told we couldn’t block anyone in (fair enough) and he didn’t know the restrictions of the road, we needed to find out for ourselves. The hotel had a derelict swimming pool outside, which hasn’t been used in years. If this was resurfaced it could easily add lots of extra parking spaces. We had a little baby with us and were given access to the back door so then we didn’t need to carry the buggy up and down the tiny tiny stairs. We did however have to provide our own travel cot. One of our rooms was dirty upon arrival with sweet wrappers around the room, which we had to be requested to be tidied. The hotel only serves a full English breakfast, we did request if we could just have some toast and was told no! We found a lovely pub about a 3 min walk down the road called “the best inn” which was wonderful for breakfast and a fab atmosphere in the evening. Our room was a million degrees and the temperature gauge you couldn’t turn down, later to find out that you couldn’t turn down the temperature for each room individually and if the heating was on the it was on and off and it was off. On the other hand, our other room had no heating. If had a small electric heater plugged in underneath a sink!!!! This hotel could be very lovely, if it had a bit of TLC and money spent on it.
The hotel itself was is a wonderful location, easy to get to and from Bath City Centre - took about 20 mins to walk.

United KingdomNo lifts ok if your fit and no health problems we were fine but for others may create problems. It was easier to get a taxi than walk to town which was downhill obviously uphill on the way back .Taxi was £ 6-7 .00 . It is just outside the city emissions charge zones so be careful of taking your own car if you don't mind the charge zones no problems.
Free parking, owner was surprised we had booked breakfast as he said most people went elsewhere for breakfast. Room was large for the Bath area no lifts quite a lot of stairs .

United KingdomI had asked about breakfast and been advised we could book on checkin. When I tried to do that I was then strongly put off having breakfast at the hotel and advised I could get it elsewhere with the statement I hadn't booked it. So we sorted ourselves-elsewhere. Location wise very good for ease of access into town. Parking is on site, but only a few spaces really, however we did manage to park ok even arriving early evening. Room was ok, twin beds, relatively comfortable, good space in room, bathroom functional, however the sink did not drain properly - property advised and said they would sort it, but we were only there one night so don't know if it was.
