Bedroom doors that bang shut.

I had the best sleep ever! Beautifully clean; exceptionally comfortable (especially the bedding); well maintained and tasteful decor. The room had everything that I required: it was well equipped with lovely soap; body lotion; hair dryer; kettle and a well-stocked refreshments tray etc. staff were very welcoming and friendly. Communal areas were inviting and there was even a library. I was staying for work and the hotel was much welcomed at the end of the day. I have already re-booked for another two visits.

Nice friendly staff. Good comfy bed with step in bath and overhead shower with instant hot water and good excellent water flow. There is a bar in the hotel and plenty of seating in the communal areas. No evening meal but there is a Thai restaurant - the Kao San - next door and an Italian - Al Molo - five minutes down the hill which were both excellent. There is also at least one Indian restaurant, a Japanese restaurant, a couple of pubs and a Wetherspoons - all within five minutes of the hotel. The Roman Town House is ten minutes away. The Museum (which also has some Roman mosaics) is five minutes away. The Museum has a café but would recommend The Horse With The Red Umbrella (nearly opposite) for lunch or cake etc. The car park is accessed via Prince's Street behind the hotel but is small and a bit tight but okay if you have a normal sized car. The breakfasts were excellent.

Nothing, our stay was perfect, I think one of the other quests had an issue with their room but the staff were very professional in the way they handled it.

Staff were without exception pleasant and friendly, and so very helpful. I felt very looked after. Breakfast was superb! As well as the well-stocked buffet to begin the meal, the variety of cooked food was impressive; I chose a different dish every day, and each one was beautifully cooked. On leaving I commented on this to the staff on Reception, and was told that they had been given an award for their breakfasts. So well deserved. The location is very central and suited my purposes extremely well, especially as I was travelling by bus.

There wasn't anything I would change.

Although parking spaces at the rear are limited, we had not problems finding a space. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious with air conditioning - we didn't need it. The bed was very comfortable which is relatively rare for a hotel room. The location was perfect. We will definitely return.

Limited parking space and we had to pay to park outside of the hotel space. Shower pressure was not good. The room was too warm despite not turning on the heating. We can also hear squeaky sound from the room above us when they walk.

The bed was perfect and comfortable. Bathroom were clean and all toilettries were given as complimentary. Good amount of coffee, milk and instant hot chocolate was provided. Exceptional room size with a sofa and TV. Close to shops and plenty food selection nearby within walking distance.
