We were not informed about the options at check-in regarding breakfast or food ordering options and no literature in rooms. When I did ask I felt breakfast was over priced, which is why we didn’t go for it.

Staff were friendly and rooms clean (booked three rooms in total). The location, free parking, wifi and the fact we could book for one night are all things we needed for our short stay. We’d stay again.

Driveway into the property needs attention.

The large king size bed was very comfortable and with the thick curtains we managed to oversleep! The staff were all very nice and helpful. The location for the football was good too. It was good to have parking available on site, although the £7 charge could have been waived for guests in my view.

Food took over half hour to come even though there was just us and another couple in the restaurant. When food came (we had the penne pasta) it wasn't very nice and tasted like cheap tinned spaghetti hoops. Told waiter who didn't really care. Having to pay an extra £7 to park on top of the £80 price for one nights stay was unbelievable.

Room was nice, clean, bed very comfortable

On booking it was not mentioned that parking will cost extra. This is not on. As this was first time staying at this hotel - parking fee was waived. However parking should be part of the room charge and not extra for the price charged.

Only stayed 1 night and it was ok. Staff friendly.

The corridors need modernisation, ceilings need soundproofing as we could hear them walking upstairs.

Easy to get to, the rooms are clean with all facilities. Parking provided at an additional charge.

When I booked, the room stated that it came with breakfast but this wasn't the case. Breakfast is an additional £12. The bed wasn't comfortable. There was chipped paint in the bathroom.

The staff were very friendly. The room was lovely. There was a lot of choice at breakfast.

Bathroom was dirty hairs all over, on the sink on the bath and toilet and floor. Seems it hadn’t been cleaned.

Loved the new decor, the bed was very comfortable and big. Loved nespresso machine and huge TV.

A bit weird that they refuse to take contactless payments despite being in 2024 and most people using their phones to pay for things these days. The steam room was out of service which we didn’t know beforehand, the jacuzzi is quite small and occupied constantly, preventing others from using it. Some of the front desk staff are a bit stand offish. Could have been a bit cleaner in some areas. No phone in the room so can be difficult to contact reception. Not much vegetarian substitutes at breakfast. The tv was a bit dodgy as well.

Good location, lots of parking space, close to a shopping area and Birmingham city centre but still quiet and a relaxing atmosphere. Special thanks to Caroline at the bar who was extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was nice, room was cosy and bed was comfy.

First of all there was a lack of information regarding parking and breakfast. The room was pokey especially the bathroom we were unable to use the toilet properly due to the location of toilet roll holder and space. The carpet was very dirty and smells mouldy could really benefit from a deep clean. There were no shower caps in the room and none when we asked at reception. There were plates of food left in the hallway on the floor which wasn’t moved until the following morning.

The iron and kettle in the room.
