Didn't appear to have been hoovered and no toiletries in bathroom. Tea and coffee was not replenished on 2nd day.

Breakfast one of the staff did not understand what we ask for. Still a lot of redirection going on. Got there at 2pm and the lady was quite rude as said you need to go away and come back at 3pm booking in time. Did not even check if room was ready like another hotel would

shower nightmare to get a right temp, duvet cover had a mark on it and there were cigarette ends outside the window!!

We had an issue with no hot water on the second day and the room wasn't serviced after the first night but we were compensated for these issues

We had some issues,firstly the curtain was hanging off the rail,told the receptionist they was going to move us but said its fine was fixed the next morning,then booked and table for dinner on Saturday night came down at 6.20pm table was booked for 6.30 then was told the kitchen had a gas leak so had to go somewhere else went to the tai over the road witch was lovely,was staying with my girlfriend for her birthday was not impressed I also booked a room with a bathtub and had only a shower

The shower room was disappointing as it had not been cleaned properly hairs in the shower cubicle and in the wash basin. And there was no vegetarian option for the cooked breakfast but there was a good choice for breakfast.

The room was comfortable and the bed very comfortable, I had a good night's sleep. The staff were helpful and polite. The breakfast was enjoyable though disappointing that there was no vegetarian open for a cooked breakfast.

Amazing location. Great room. Just missing a couple of touches like no soap on the basin, radiator not working and no milk for the tea or coffee but great for the price. Lovely staff

The thermostatic power shower had 2 settings, Boil you to death or freeze you to death, So no shower. There was also no milk to go with the tea and coffee provided.

I had few problems with the plumbing and had to change rooms. But hotel were very good and understanding.

It’s a beautiful building just recently reopened. So pleased to see it open again. The changes already made are very nice.

The location with lots of parking behind the hotel is perfect for walking to explore Banbury. Our high ceiling bedroom with large beams was very nice. The bathroom was very good with a good shower. The breakfast was very good with continental and full English on offer. We were shown a secret panel in a room that had a staircase which let upstairs-as this is a listed building the inside cannot be changed. The building is like stepping back in time.

When checking in was not told when breakfast would be served or where it was or that the hotel was locked at night. When we found where breakfast was served in the morning after sitting down we were then informed that there was no cooked breakfast due to a problem with the chef but we could help our selves to the cereals etc and the cost of the breakfast would be refunded (this has not happened) we then tried some toast to find that there was mould on the toast, to save leaving this review I tried to contact the hotel direct by email but received no reply.

The bathroom door wouldn't close in our room.

Lovely room, the only thing missing was dressing gowns, but was very clean and Lovely facilities.
