Breakfast times are a wee bit late if you're wanting to get out for a big hike.

The B&B could not be cleaner - it was honestly exceptional. The bed was very comfortable and our room had lovely sunset views over the hills in the distance. The location was around the corner from restaurants and cafes, and a short walk from the lake coast. Breakfast was freshly made and tasty.

The car park was a bit small and slightly hassle to park but we were the last ones to arrive, so it probably would have been ok with a few less cars.

Nice friendly couple who ran the lodge, easy check in and the breakfast was cooked fresh for each guest which was very nice. Also the property is very close to the centre of Windermere which was convenient.

Late check in and early check out made us feel we couldn’t enjoy the hotel as much as we would have liked given we only stayed a night, especially given the cost.

The hotel was immaculately clean and modern but cosy. Breakfast was fantastic. Location is great, right in the centre of Windermere and great to be able to park for free.

Everything. From the welcome by the owners to the wave off. The room was gorgeously done out and had everything in that you would need, with a bonus of an extremely comfortable bed with a cosy duvet and pillows. Breakfast was top notch too. Very near the centre of Windermere with private parking. Would highly recommend 😊

Had an incredible stay at Wheatlands Lodge. The owners are a fantastic and kind couple and provided such a pleasant stay. Exceeded our expectations. Only wish we had stayed longer. The shower was great it was powerful and hot. Bedding was clean and of the highest luxury. Great value for money. Nice places to eat within walking distance. The Tilley Bar and Kitchen nearby do a great pie and mash

A great place to stay. Lovely room - extremely comfortable and well decorated and cared for. Everywhere was spotlessly clean,bright and cheerful. Breakfast was excellent - local produce and very well cooked and presented. The owners were really friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make everyone’s stay as good as it could be.

It was August and the evenings were cool, in order to keep the open windows air circulating, the curtains had to be open which brought light into the room earlier then we wanted to wake up.

Great location near the town hub with lots of restaurants. Yet off the beaten path where it was quiet and private. The breakfast was delicious❣️
