The bed was to soft for us we like a firm bed. But that’s us not the b and b.

The White Rose is everything you would like & need in a b and b. Friendly, very clean, and every need catered for !! The hosts have thought of every little thing to make your stay a highly relaxed experience! Clean as a whistle too ! Grahams obvious love of the area here lives in is very noticeable in his knowledge of what to and where to go. WE'LL BE BACK !!

Breakfast was very tasty (but for me big - larg - portion ;-) ). The owners were very pleasant and kind.

Didn't appear to have a lock on window. Very basic decor in the room.

Great location. Friendly, helpful hosts. Comfy, clean beds and rooms. Tea tray had a good range of hot drinks and biscuits. Free parking was available opposite the accommodation. Reasonable rates.

Appreciate that the property is old, so some may find a little chilly if it is cold outside as we were there during heavy snow.

Excellent host who took time and trouble to make sure we were comfortable and had all we needed, giving good information about the local area. The breakfast was very good, tasty using good ingredients and well presented. Excellent location, around a 10 min walk from Windermere railway station.

Graham was knowledgeable and shown which places to visit. I caught Covid and they managed to defer my reservation to another date. The breakfast was excellent and the location is near to the town centre.

The bed wasn’t as comfortable as it could of been and although it was a double bed I thing a king sized quilt would work better

The host was excellent giving advice about the town and how to get about. The room was cosy and the tea tray had everything you could think of, glasses, soya and other milk, coffee, cafetiere, coffee bags, tea bags, cork screw, flavored coffee and hot chocolate...wow felt really looked after.

Not a negative for me personally but no lift so if your room is on the top floor the staircase is a great form of excercise

Shower wasn't hot enough for us. Need biscuits on the tray for people every day to have with tea, coffee etc. Needs a luggage holder for putting case on. Apart from that no complaints.

Owners are very friendly, informative and helpful. Alison is also an artist and her watercolour cards are beautiful. Location is very good for transport and there is a car park over the road. We didn't have breakfast as we go out early for buses and walks. But I'm sure it would have been good. Graham is very funny and helpful.

On street free car parking can be a bit challenging - there is a nearby paid car park but I was able to park in a nearby street when I couldn't find a space outside the guesthouse. I can't comment on breakfast as I chose not to pay for it.

Great location - only a few minutes walk to the main shopping strip (or up to the train station/Orrest Head hike) but a bit quieter than being on the main road. (Sainsburys and Coop nearby for groceries and incidentals). Free wifi was fast and reliable. Clean and cosy room with plenty of power sockets and good lighting. I was on the second floor (the second storey stairs are quite steep so beware heavy luggage) but it was lovely to be able to open the windows for fresh air. The ensuite is very compact but met all my requirements - hooks and rails for hanging towels etc in spite of the small space. Appreciated the wardrobe and places to hang wet or hiking gear. The coffee/tea and milk options were pretty comprehensive (never seen soy and oat milk alternatives in a guesthouse/BnB before!). Clear instructions from the host for getting in/out of the property.

The owner is lovely. He point us to best places around. They went all out with the tea and coffee in the room. The room is super comfy and warm. Clean and smell fresh.

The guest house is very well located close to the shops and restaurants of Windermere village, and close to the railway station and bus routes. The owner is very friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were really good.
