It takes a little bit of research to find the location for the satnav; the approach features significant stretches of single-lane roads. Breakfast time was too late for my schedule, unfortunatley. Also, I will never understand why Britain makes you choose between either freezing or burning your hands off when washing them.

The attached restaurant had very good food at reasonable prices. The room was clean and bright. The ambience of the entire venue is very memorable.

As the location is very rural the mobile reception was a bit hit and miss as expected. The only thing I would suggest is an improvement to the wifi, especially in the rooms.

I couldn't fault the food or the service. As soon as I arrived I was welcomed and shown to my room which, although quite snug, was very comfortable and well-appointed. Sarah and her staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Even when the pub was packed with a wedding they were happy to accommodate a lone traveller with food and refreshments.

There was nothing I did not like

The rooms are all unique , they are on the grounds around a pub.it’s in the country,the decor is quirky ,the food in the restaurant is delicious. In the morning we went to visit various places such as,ale ham and Chilham as well as Canterbury which were all interesting

For the value felt bed should have been alot more comfy , partner had a bad sleep , and grouting and loose trim around bath tub poor

The bed was a little soft

the breakfast was amazing. WE also had 2 evening meals which were also very good. It was our anniversary and they took the trouble to make us a beautiful red rose bouquet.

Breakfast was not served until 9.30 so I had a continental breakfast delivered to my room the night before and this was not up to the standard I would have expected, for example no bowl provided for the cereal so I had to use a mug instead, and the (pre)toasted bread was inedible

Interesting pub/restaurant with detached rooms in the grounds. Elaborate decor. Comfortable. Great food and exceptional staff.

Was a bit forgotten by staff as was in bar for my meal. Service was very slow. Only remembered once I asked when my food might arrive after waiting an hour.

Unfortunately our room had no mirror in the bedroom making it difficult to get ready for the wedding.

Great setting, very friendly staff, went out of their way to give us a lift to the wedding we were going to rather than the expense of a taxi !

The rooms need a bit of attention, very clean but worn in places. No robes in my room although advertised.

Only minor issues, parts of the room were looking a bit tired and needs some minor attention. Did not affect our stay at all.

Quirky location with wonderful over the top decor. Food was fabulous and all staff we met were friendly and helpful. Champagne and chocs in the room.

Did not expect this... but as the name implied... The stuff was super helpful, even give me a free update and a super cool 'parking' for my bike! The room was very cozy and slept like a log! The décor is a bit peculiar, but it's all part of the atmosphere! The restaurant was amazing!!!

Only the lack of water pressure in shower - not really an issue and a noisy in room fridge - rectified by switching off.

There was not anything we did not like. Maybe some live music or entertainment during The evening on a Fri/sat would make it even more amazing.
