Hotel is in a lovely peaceful location - staff were exceptionally friendly, and the meals were excellent. Would definitely book again if we were travelling back to the area.

Porridge on the breakfast menu but didn't have any. Ran out of a couple of the evening meal options due to there being a large birthday group eating there at the weekend.

Large bedroom and bathroom . Well-stocked Tea/ coffee room facilities. friendly helpful staff. Nice and quiet location. Large car park and free Wifi.

There was no restaurant on the second night of our stay which meant we had to make sandwiches in our room ,as there were no kitchen staff,which was not ideal as Iam recovering from cancer, an offer of an upgrade to the self catering lodge for the night would have been better. Also I was charged 20 pound for my dog on arrival, of which was not clearly stated when I booked on booking.com ,as I thought it was included in the fees already as I only looked at pet friendly hotels.

The staff were amazing very welcoming and helpful very accommodating,room was very clean and comfortable, Liam the hotel manager was superb really approachable and friendly.Location was peaceful and secluded. Room was very nice and the hot water was superb. The restaurant served excellent quality food to a high standard and the breakfast was excellent.Liam was very helpful when we asked about places to go and had excellent local knowledge which he shared.

The property is not well insulated due to age so despite heating being on high, the room was cold in places and there was condensation on windows and external walls.

Good location and friendly staff. We went during a quiet time so had quick service and good selection of food for breakfast and dinner. Food was good quality. This would be a great venue for larger family reunions or group events as there is a good choice of accommodation in pleasant surroundings.

Very, very kind and happy staff. Excellent service for room, great food and atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would love to go back. We were driving so it was easy to reach Lake Windermere in 10 minutes by car. If you are not driving I am not sure about the ease of getting around from here. But many people in the lodges and caravans were just staying all the time as it was very peaceful. We were in the hotel, the room was comfortable, the bathroom was clean.

We booked 2 nights stay including B&B. Upon arrival, we had been upgraded to a lodge. What a lovely surprise, everything we needed, including a sauna and jacuzzi bath, was a real treat as it was also my partners birthday. The food at the hotel was excellent. The area was peaceful, a nice secluded spot. Would definitely go again, probably for a little while longer. Would definitely recommend it.

We booked two lodges for the Bank Holiday weekend. Really enjoyed the facilities except in one of our lodges the sauna, fire and jacuzzi bath were all not working. Reported to reception but not fixed whilst we were there. Stayed they were waiting for parts - I would have expected this to de mentioned on check in and it wasn’t. Disappointing.

Excellent location. Very quiet, safe and a great base from which to explore the Lake District. The lodges were spacious and clean. Good cooking facilities and a well stocked kitchen in terms of utensils

There is nothing specific as such that we didn't like.

The Staff was friendly. All the facilities in the cottage like Sauna, Kitchen facilities, Mattresses were up to the mark and well maintained.

En-suite was a little tired but clean and functional.

Very friendly staff, pretty dining room and conservatory. Good quality breakfast included and we had an even8ng meal with good choice and excellent food. Price of a bottle of wine was very reasonable.
