I loved the excellent location of the hostel (within 1/4 of a mile of the town centre) as well as the excellent staff. There was always plenty of activities to partake in, due to the location of Keswick : ) I was especially surprised to discover that I was the only person occupying my bedroom (due to the time of my stay, a week before the busy Easter holidays and that my room came with a very good en-suite bathroom.

Not so keen on the "surge pricing" at a youth hostel, which results in wild fluctuations in room rates.

Welcoming and helpful staff, great location, clean rooms and bathroom facilities. Enjoyed the continental breakfast.

There were birds on the rooftop and they were quite noisy...

Great location, room was comfy and clean. Check-in staff were all very friendly and helpful!! Big shoutouts to them all. I also love the kitchen area where you can buy groceries and cook everything yourself without being bordered.

We booked a private room and it was updated to a bigger one. It was a 6 bed dorm room but still it was private - the whole room for two of us. There was a sink and soap in the room. Several showers and toilets on our floor. In the middle of the week in March it was very quiet and peaceful but still not empty. We didn’t book breakfast in advance and there was an option to pay straight away for an English breakfast. We were offered to fill a tiny paper with a list of offered dishes. They had a variety of vegan options as well. Breakfast was delicious, all continental options were included and unlimited. It was about £10 for 1 person. Only continental breakfast must be cheaper. Staff was always very kind and friendly. We were allowed to leave our luggage in a safe room before check-in and after check-out. Amazing experience, I wish we could stay longer.

Abrupt staff at breakfast. Family of 5 turned up for breakfast at 0845 and wasn’t very welcomed as we hadn’t pre warned them. Fair to say we went elsewhere

Location, price, staff and the breakfast all superb. Thoroughly recommend for short stay. Toilet and shower room were all clean as you get at home. There had been an issue with our original room booking but we were alerted to it and everything was sorted out really well.

Couldn’t fault a thing!

Very comfortable, brilliant facilities with large/clean kitchen. Great bar area and delicious food and general great value for money. They setting was beautiful on the river front. We had a slight issue with a smell of sewage in our room. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and switched us to an upgraded room.

Beds are on the hard side and pillows aren’t great but for the money I paid it’s only a slight grumble.

Lovely and clean. Brilliant location. Very friendly staff. The fact they have a dry room perfect after a day in the fells. Nice breakfast. Will definitely stay again

It was raining

Excellent staff. They go out of their way to help you. Excellent facilities in great condition. Great view and location. While all YHAs offer good value for money but YHA Keswick is even above that. The room even has a private balcony facing the river!

Absolutely nothing. Perfect all around.

The perfect stay as always. After first visiting this YHA for the first time last year we have already returned on numerous occasions. The staff are amazing, super friendly and always have the time to chat with you, the hotel is spotless which fab facilities in the most perfect and central location in keswick. You will not be disappointed with your stay here.

The beds were small but it's a hostel so I wasn't expecting a king size.

Everything was fantastic, nice staff, nice room, great location.

No car park. Although there was free parking a street away and 2 hrs free parking on the road outside. I personally slept well. The room was warm, and the bed was comfortable. But the other 2 in our party complained that the beds were too firm.

Perfect location. Short easy walk into the town centre. Wasn't expecting the hostel to be as nice as it was. Although shared, there were plentiful bathroom facilities that were clean and close to the room. There was a lovely big kitchen for all to share and cook their own food. Moving around the hostel was safe and you needed a key card to enter the floors. Overall, it was basic but well equipped and great value for money!

Delicious and filling breakfast. Hostel location is great, right on the edge of town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Evening meal was good value for money and very tasty. The drying room was good, all my gear and boots were dry by morning.
