There were stairs right in the middle of the room which made it feel squashy and small even though the room was a good size.

The location was amazing, located in a little lane-way off the main street of Rethymno, you only need to walk 20 or so metres to reach the shops. The room was cleaned daily and new towels were provided, the owner had free fruit and water and wine for me during the stay which was lovely.

This is the best place to stay in Rethymno! Amazing host, he gave us so many gifts, wine, champagne, fruits, souvenirs and freebies, he was super helpful! Parking place is nearby and the host paid for our parking. The hotel is right in the heart of the old town, next to the harbour, the fortress and the lighthouse. The view in our apartment was absolutely breathtaking. The amenities and facilities are top notch!! Everything you could think of, you will find. The place exceeded our expectations. It was renovated and the pictures on Booking do the place dirty. Everything you see in the pics is now upgraded and modern, without losing its traditional charm. I will reccomend this place to everyone who goes in Crete.

It was perfect.

We loved everything. We were a group of friends - two families- one had a maisonette, the other an appartment. It's close to the beach, in the historical center, large space, big terrace in the shadow, very clean, kitchen well equipped, efficient air conditionner, elevator even though the building was not high. Washing machine, good quality hygiene products, slippers... The landlord very attentive to our needs, we felt spoiled. We really would be back anytime.

The only drawback is that this is in the middle of town and towns can get noisy. But the benefits of staying in the town centre trump that.

The absolute best part of this all was Yannis himself. The service was so far beyond what one could expect. Top level. And he is also super nice. The location is excellent, the rooms are big and spacious, the beds are comfy and the shower is good. Would definately stay there again.

Everything was perfect.

This was one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. The building is beautiful, the room spaceous with very high ceiling and solid high quality wood furniture. A nice change when many hotels these days have charmless rooms where everything is made of cheap plastic. We had everything we needed and our stay was very comfortable. We enjoyed the kind attentions like fresh fruit and bottled water left for us in our room. If we come back to Rethymno this is certainly where we will stay again. We thank our host Yannis for his exceptional hospitality and kindness.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

We booked for 1 night to stay in Rethymnon Old Town and warmly greeted by Yannis the owner. The room was perfect and had all amenities needed for self catering. There was also a complimentary bowl of fresh fruit in the fridge with bottles of water and Yannis also gave us a bottle of white wine to enjoy for our evening. It was the perfect location as we wanted to stay in the centre of the Old Town. Thank you Yannis for your wonderful hospitality, if we ever visit Crete again we will definitely return.

This is by far the best stay ever for us, we travelled with our 2 teenagers, and got full value on our holiday. The apartment location is perfect, just between shopping, restaurants and 600m to the beach, which is full of activities. The appartement is just above a church and a big square and there for an open view and very quiet in the night. Service was totally outstanding. The fridge was filled up with wine, beer, fruit, water, juice upon arrival and was re-filled during our stay. Jannis was the perfect host for a hotel, I wish I meet him everywhere I stayed.

Not a negative- but you have to park a few blocks away and there are two flights of stairs. The host did help us with our luggage, which was much appreciated.

We were in the “new building” on the top floor. Beautiful. Excellent location, overlooked the church square, right near the harbor and about 5 minutes on foot to the local beach. The AC was great. The host left fresh fruit and a bottle of wine. I can’t say enough. We also brought home a few bottles of olive oil from his wife’s farm. It’s fabulous and well worth hauling it half way across Greece and 1/2 way across the world.
