Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room wasn't very clean (dust on some lamps etc). It was a bit old, with old bathroom facilities. The staff was fine, but some were a bit grumpy.
Excellent location, near metro station Metaxourgeio. Fair price in comparison with other choices, but that reflected the quality.

Even though I asked for a non smoking room, I can smell a bit of smoke in the room.
The receptionist was really good and welcoming. It was close to the Metro not had long to walk.

A bit noisy as you can hear the sounds of motorbikes on the street or people talking in other rooms. Soundproof is the question? Beds are not so comfortable and blankets are too thin
Great location as the metro is just 5 mins away. Reception 24/7.

Very old and run down. Stains on carpet floor and furniture had lots of marks on it.
Close to main train station and Albanian bus departure points. Bed was comfortable and clean.

You should clean much better the rooms and fix the plumbing in room 25, the water goes out of the hole, disgusting.....

The street was noisy at times. No breakfast.
The hotel is clean and the staff friendly. The area is OK, with a nice taverna opposite and other cafes in the neighbourhood. One stop on the metro from the city centre and a nicer place to stay really.

The shower head could not be hung from the wall, and had to be held. Whilst I did not feel my belongings would be stolen from the room, I did get the impression that my room would be easy to break into if someone were inclined to try.
I liked the fact that there was a nice balcony. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. They let me leave my bag in a safe place after check out.

The furniture, especially the bathroom, was far from modern. The shower head had no suspension, the shower curtain was moldy and unsightly, and the sink faucet was loose.
The staff was friendly and the accommodation was very close to the metro.

everything was alright for me but I am not sure if a guest before me was smoking in my room or what was the deal but the smell was very strong, couldn’t even sleep through it the first night
close to the city, rooms are pretty cute, liked the vibe considering the cost, liked the views as well staff is super sweet and kind, very helpful sheets and towels very clean, smelling of fresh laundry room was cleaned every day, towels changed frequently

Quite old hotel, nothing fancy. Perfect if you just come there to sleep and plan to stay outside most of the time. Not far from the city and ruins - just 15 min walk. Really good for the price I payed for it - got a private room with bathroom for a price of hostel bed

-Toilet didn't flush. -No fridge, kettle. -Bathroom is tiny.
-The hotel is okay for a short stay if you are stopping over in Athens for a flight or to get the ferry. -The room is small and very basic but comfortable. -Not a bad location - 20 minute walk from Omonoia Square, less than five minutes from the metro station. (Possibly not the best area to walk late at night night.)

The hotel building is very old and decayed comes back to 70/80 years ago! The water pipes are old, malfunctioning and over-surface implemented. you'll hear the noise of water dripping which is annoying. The carpets are dirty. Water gathers in the washing sink after a while. There are no electrical switch in the bathroom for electrical shaving. There is no trash basket in the room to put your garbage inside it! The heating system comes back to Hitlers' era! If you really have more budget don't waste it on this sp-called hotel.
Something that met at least the proper quality.
