Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBit hard to find. Probably could do with a slight revamp but did the job for what I needed.
Good location, fairly cheap, easy check in. Fairly straight forward place and that basic charm that can be found in the old towns across Europe. Was only there for 12 hours, did the job.

FinlandNot the best design and aesthetics but there is nothing really possible to improve, it is as good as it can be. Window is facing the wall but for one-day stay and at this great location, did not matter for us.
Everything included at least on minimal level. Small kitchen, teapot, bathroom, bed. Very good location in the old town!

RomaniaThe check in took like forever because I had booking walet money and was a whole discussion în poor English why I payed through Booking instead of at the property. Luky me the young man în the shop worked harder to convince the owner lady that my Booking sais "Already payed. This transaction was debited". 2. The printed and laminated page with information in the rooom was out dated. The wifi they mentioned eitherp doesn't exist anymore or the password was different. They said we can call for everithing but at 9.30 în the morning when we need it nobody pick up the phone.
It is în the old town on the El Greco (Teotocopoulou street). If you're looking for a simple furnitured old house this is your place. It keeps the old town atmosfere also on the interior. "The reception" în the shop downstairs is open until 1 în the night wich is a plus if you arrive late.

Norwaythe steps were steep. difficult with a suitcase. no balcony as facing another building but that also contributed to the silence I got at night
location and staff. clean and comfortable in a quiet street. location is a parallel street to port. it’s in many ways nicer with decent restaurants and lovely shops. the owners also own the shop downstairs. they were very accommodating, including the children who also work in the shop. good air conditioning. there was cooking facilities and a fridge I didn’t use. The room itself is in a good condition with a comfortable bed

Excellent location for Chania Town. In a lovely street within 5 mins walking distance to the harbour and lanes. Staff in the shop below let you in and greet you with a smile each evening! Mike the youngest lad carried our heavy bag all the way up the stairs!

UkraineRoom is pretty small, a little bit loudly at night and different noises like constantly spining fan can be heard from outside.
Great localisation, right in the heart of old town, close to bus station, market, harbor, restaurants and main points of interests. Friendly host, clean, authentic room and buildings around.

RomaniaIn this period, across the street there is a building under construction and the noise starts early in the morning. The WIFI works slow sometimes. It doesn't support very well two users. The room is a bit small and there is insufficient natural light. But you are in Crete to be delighted by the outsides :)
The location was perfect. It's right in the middle of the Old Town and very close to the sea. Exactly 2 houses away, there is a taverna where we ate wonderful traditional food, especially fresh fish. The room is a bit small but it has pretty much everything you need. The host is very kind and sweet, opened to help you with all the info's. The price was fair and good

United KingdomSome equipment could do with an upgrade. There was no frying pan or teaspoons. The hairdryer was broken (I could live without it so didn’t ask for it to be fixed). The kettle burnt your hand if you touched it straight after boiling (definitely wouldn’t pass a health and safety check!) The TV remote was stuck together with unraveling tape. Small things but it would have been good to have them done properly.
Great location. Pretty street with some good bars and restaurants, and wonderful to have the sea nearby. Excellent access to the Old Town and all its history, beauty and facilities. Relatively cheap and I was grateful to be able to book it at the last minute. It was fine for one person. The bed was comfortable and it was useful to have a cooking hob and a fridge.

United KingdomThe Hotel has a fact sheet in the room outlining how often the room would be cleaned and the how often the sheets changed. Sadly my sheets werent changed for the duraton of my stay and this could be improved. Towels however were changed on request. Cazza Latina overall was a lovely stay and would recomend this place. The manager was very kind helpful and always avialable to serve you. I score this place 9 out of 10.
This property is in the old town and is manged by the owner of the shop on the ground level. The property has two studios and another flat with a balcony. Mine was the slighly more expenisvie of the two studios. One needs to be aware that taxis wont drop you off to the door as it is in old town but the walk is just 2 mins away from the car park. The location of the property was excellent as it was right where you need to be to have access to the touristy sights and town square. The self catering studio was clean and comfy with a cooker, kettle and cutlery and dishwasher soap to self clean delpth. A wash basin is provided for hand washing ones clothes. I was expecting it to be noisy but it realy wasnt. I booked for one week stay and I liked it. The closest beach is a quick walk away. Overall I would recommend Cazza Latina for a solo or a couple traveing.

United KingdomCaza Latina is so perfectly located, it's so close to Nea Chora and to the harbour but you would hardly tell since it's so quiet and concealed (which is a great thing!). It was very convenient being near some good convenience stores also. Hugely for me and my partner, we felt the staff were so welcoming and they really made us feel like we were at home. We were very nicely accommodated and they were so friendly that it was always a pleasure to run into the staff.
