Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GreeceBreakfast was good but lacked variety. Coffee machine worked on the first morning but broke down on the second.
Great location, good-sized and pleasant room, clean bathroom. Definitely the right choice for a first visit to Athens as the hotel is minutes away from some of the major tourist attractions (nice view of the Acropolis from the roof terrace!), as well as the metro station from which you catch the train to the airport (Syntagma Square).

AustraliaThe room was on the small side and felt a bit cramped.
The location and staff were amazing. It was walking distance to all of the tours we took and the staff could not be more helpful. The rooftop bar and restaurant were great with amazing views of the city and the acropolis. Breakfast was included in our stay and beautiful food and plenty of choice.

The hotel was nice, the room has everything you need for one night. The staff was friendly and you felt very welcome. The area is Plaka, so it near to everything. I will recommend the hotel. And they have a very nice toast.

Centrally placed near the cathedral. Only short walks to the Acropolis, Adrianou where there was a great choice of restaurants, and either Monastiraki or Syntagma squares for the Metro. Let’s not forget the open rooftop terrace with the view of the Acropolis. Some rooms, including ours also had an Acropolis view.

Spainhonestly there is nothing I did not like!
The location is amazing! really in the heart of Athens.. not far from Syntagma, Acropolis, Monasteraki, right in Plaka... all the good "local" restaurants are at few meters. Plus, for me who values to go to Church it is almost 500 m from the Metropolis of Athens where I went for Liturgy on Sunday.... I mean this is the most perfect spot ever! The staff is beyong helpful and friendly. They really treat us like family... Especially Georgia from the service team. She is friendly, smiling all the time, cares for your well-being... This is for sure my new "home" in Athens. I went there 2 times and I will be going back there everytime I go to Athens.

BrazilI did not find easily accessible sockets close to the bed, so I needed to move a bedside table away from the wall to use the socket behind it for my smartphone/laptop. The shower has a handheld shower set that you can only fix very close to the wall. Since the water pressure was not very strong and I am tall, it was not so easy to wash my hair and face. The reception staff during checkin and short interactions was not unpleasant but rather dry. A bit more welcoming reception would be nice. The walls of the room seem to be paper-thin. I had talkative neighbors, and I could listen to them often.
It is perfectly located within a very short walking distance of Syntagma metro station There is a metro line from Athens airport to Syntagma metro station, but the best way is to take the cheaper bus shuttle from the airport that stops in the plaza where the Syntagma metro station is (it is about a 60-minute ride). The bus shuttle is a 24-hour service. This neighborhood is a very touristy area with lots of restaurants (Mediterranean, Italian, Korean, Mexican, etc.). The hotel is on a small street. The premisses are stylist and modern. I got a room at the back of the hotel with a really great view of the Acropolis. I could see the Greek flag and the Parthenon. I did not even bother to visit the roof of the hotel, which, they say, also has a nice view. The room has a nice size, and it was cozy and warm in January. The queen bed was comfortable. There is a school (and a small church!) at the back of the hotel. I could hear the children playing during their breaks along the day, but it was not noisy, and at night it was very quiet. There is a small grocery store 500 meters away (it closes on Sundays). There is also a small fridge. The electronic safe was large enough to put my laptop. I went to Athens in January mostly for the Acropolis and the museums. The Acropolis is a 16-minute walk from the hotel (the superb and brand new Acropolis museum is on the way). The very nice Museum of Cycladic Art is an 18-minute walk away. The National Gallery is a 26-minute walk, and the National Archaeological Museum is a 28-minute walk. The Byzantine and Christian Museum is a 20-minute walk. So, I was able to visit all the mentioned places without using public transportation, just walking. The breakfast was quite good with many options including some Greek cheese, Greek spoon sweets, and a good coffee/espresso machine. Before my early check-out they offered me a breakfast box.

United KingdomThe room was on the small side, for a deluxe room I expected bigger, the view of the Acropolis from room disappointing. Would have preferred drawers at bedside & didn’t think two tables necessary. Maybe some hooks near door for coats would also be good.
The location was great. Staff excellent. Views fantastic from rooftop. Very clean. Meal in the restaurant on our first night was very good, & staff were very attentive. The breakfast was also excellent with a wide choice of hot & cold food, again good staff.

North MacedoniaA little bit too much crowd on the rooftop. And don't come by car. The hotel doesn't have enough parking places of its own and might not bother to help you find parking place (although it costs them only one phone call). On the contrary, they may send you find one on your own, giving you wrong directions and stacking you in a jam which may last longer from your previous ride from home, unless you react somehow swiftly. And since the hotel is in the center of the city and generally is no other way to come, it might be better to be prepared to drug your luggage in busses, trams etc. (if you are acquainted with the public transport) and from them until the hotel.
Everything is within walking distance, the Acropolis, the oldest part of the city, the Syntagma square. Pleasant city, hospitable people. Gorgeous view from the rooftop, really best ever food.
