Douvas House is located nicely with easy access to the main road so you can go to many great beaches in the area without having to drive through the town center. The town center and Toroni beach is just a few minutes walk. Douvas House has parking and a very nice green garden where you can find shadow in case you wish to rest at the property. The host couple were very friendly and helpful, we had a great stay.

Everything was very good. The room is nicely arranged and very clean. The room also has a welcoming balcony with a table and two chairs where in the morning we could drink a Greek coffee from the host.

The wifi was very weak to the point it was not usable. We used a hotspot and consumed mobile data from our plans with the telecom in order to have some internet. Condensed water from the air conditioner was occasionally dropping on the bed. Apart from the bed there is no other surface to put your stuff (no chair and no table), so either use the very small bedside cabinet or the floor. The bathroom was functioning, but the sink faucet was leaking and was semi-fixed with electrical tape. Similar situation with the shower faucet. Bathroom also has very limited space to put your things around the sink.

We liked the hostess, as she was very polite and welcoming. The room was overall very clean and in our 6-nights stay it was regularly cleaned. There's an AC, which is a lifesaver in the 40 degrees heat. The small fridge allows some snacks and a few drinks to be kept cool after you come back from the beach. Keep in mind there are many rooms and the experience might differ.

Fittings and furnishings could do with being updated. Secondary walk to beach may be quicker but not very pleasant,lots of rubbish.

First evening we got accommodated and ran into some issues which needed immediate fixing but the owner was not reachable. He wasn’t at the reception desk, nobody answered desk nor cell phone. Very difficult communication with the owner, he doesn’t listen to what you are trying to say and making his own assumptions. After repeating and explaining he finally understands what is the problem. And not in English, but in Greek (I was with a local)! The remote for AC was missing, we got wrong one and had to borrow from neighbor room to at least set it for night. Water from hot tap was not running at all till second day (no in bathroom, shower nor kitchen). Owner told us probably someone showered too much and we have to wait for the warm water. But this wasn’t a problem. The water from hot tap wasn’t running at all. After many explanations owner finally realized and fixed it while we were on the beach (the switch for opening tubes wasn’t nowhere in the room). Pressure of water was also very weak. And the sink needed uncloging. Net for mosquitos in balcony door was broken and the balcony door were almost impossible to open. And towels had holes in them. Impolite behavior. We were trying to explain the problem when we were sitting on the balcony (ground floor) where the owner brought us the new ac remote (second morning). The owner was speaking with us and suddenly started to walk away. We weren’t finish explaining the problem and he just walks away. So we spoke a bit louder for him to hear us. And he told us to lower the voice because other guests are probably still sleeping. Then why you walk away? He returned and we finished the discussion. We were very disappointed we chose this facility and we don’t recommend it for lond stay.

Location and big parking was the only highlight. Facility is situated in very quiet area.

Nothing really serious but small things made us only sleep there and leave in the morning. The place is located in the fringes of a small touristy town, to walk to the beach you need to go through the hole in some fence and cross an empty field. This was also the only place we stayed where the photos were much better than the reality. The rooms are fine but needed some make-up. Rooms were missing some small obvious things that we had in other places, like a hairdryer or multiple blankets. We got a room with a balcony facing the main entrance. The problem is that by the photos you couldn't tell how is it located so in the end we used the balcony only to dry clothes. The hotel was empty and I guess we could have asked to change rooms but our stay was only 3 nights so we decided not to bother. In the end, maybe in the high season, it's a good option but there are a lot of more interesting options available now, probably due to COVID and lack of tourists.

It's an ok option if you travel through Sithonia. The rooms are big and have small kitchens. they also have air conditioning and some equipment. The rooms are quite clean and the cleaning was every day. There is quite some outdoor space, though we were not using it really. The parking not a problem at all in the hotel.
