Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The breakfast was boring (the same dish every day), the walls are very thin I heard everything (the next room guests, the corridor, etc.), in the bathroom thare isn't air condition

Rooms were quite small but manageable. We did have noisy neighbors one night in the room next door and I had to knock and ask them to be quiet as they woke me up so walls are not thick. Otherwise it was quiet especially from street noise.

The staff was very helpful. The hotel is within walking distance to everywhere in the center. The breakfast was sufficient, very suitable for those who want a Turkish breakfast. The hotel was clean and comfortable.

Maybe little too loud in the evening when the windows are open but we were in hotel in april so windows were opened often.
Great staff, especially in reception. Good breakfast on place. Location near the city centre and metro. Easy access from airport. Just great for economy vacation.

A nice nice and cozy hotel in the center of the city, close to Monastiraki and Omnia. The personnel ist more than helpful, the amenities are tidy, the breakfast is perfect (especially the joghurt with honey!). Would live to stay at this hotel again.

Sometimes we could smell cigarette smoke in the room which I imagine reached us either from the street or the vent, as we are non-smokers it bothered us a bit, but not too bad.
Absolutely helpful staff from the moment of making the reservation, if I had any questions everything was answered promptly and in a friendly manner. The room itself is a bit dated but it was clean and comfortable for our stay. The location was excellent for us, only about 8-10 minutes on foot from Monastiraki square, which is a great spot for both reaching the airport (as the metro stops there) and an entrance to the city center.

Nothing in particular comes to mind, or I can not say I didn't like it but pillows could be a bit softer.
Friendly staff that speak good english. Hotel is very close to Acropolis and surrounding areas, and I will say main metro station Monastiraki that will give access to two metro lines, and one station away from Syntagma that will give access to the other metro line and a tram line that takes you straight to the beach.

The room was modern with an up-to-date bathroom. Breakfast was varied for choice & the hotel location was close to restaurants as well as the main metro stops. The staff at Reception were particularly knowledgeable about the correct bus station choice for excursions out of the city.

Would've liked a few more breakfast options. Like scrambled eggs & bacon. One or two more conveniently placed power outlets in the room would be nice as well.
Amazing staff, they were very helpful. When I arrived I immediately got an overview of the things to do in the city. But also the tourist traps to avoid. Room itself was fine. Breakfast was quite basic, but also fine.

Breakfast is fine, but exactly the same (and not with a large choice) everyday.
Great value for money. Quiet hotel , lovely staff that happy to help with everything. Location is great, between 2 main squares: Omonia and Monastiraki (which together giving you an access to all 3 metro lines)

Perfect location, the best we could have had in this price range. Very clean! Everyone from the staff is really nice and helpful. If we are going back to athens, we will definitely come back here, and we will recomend it to our friends and family too!

Fantastic location between two Metro stations, and within walking distance of lots of sites. Great amenities, delicious breakfast everyday, and very helpful staff. One street back from a main road meant a peaceful nights sleep.

Mattress is a little bit older. But except mattress is everything perfect.
Breakfast is great. Location is perfect. Everywhere is within 10 - 15 minutes walk distances. Staff is very nice and helpfully.
