Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandNothing. Everything was perfect for us.
Hotel is located in peaceful surroundings where nice walks can be taken and there is room for children to play. Breakfast was very good, wide range of cereals and pastries to choose from. Room was spacious and clean and staff was very very friendly and helpful. Would come back again for a visit.

IsraelIt is very silent and historical place. Atmosphere is the best. We watched American horror story "hotel", and that i what i advise you to do when you stay there) And we had a perfect landscape, view on the sea from the mountain, what can be better? Women, who works there on reception and who serves breakfasts, thank you for hospitality.

GermanyThe restaurant was still closed when we were there, which was not mentioned when we booked. That should be transparent to people during their booking process, therefore please keep the information on booking platforms up to date!
Elafos Hotel is a truly unique place. "Colonial" charm of "the old days", of course with regards to comfort not in all aspects up to modern standards, but if you don't mind this: perfect! The hotel's location is extremely beautiful, away from the main touristic beaches, wonderful for quiet relaxation, walks or hikes in the nature in the centre of the island. Felicia, the lady taking care about guests, was truly amazing in making us feel comfortable and was happy to fulfil our special wishes as the first guests of the 2023 season - a BIG THANK YOU for her :)

AustraliaI thought it had an air of faded grandeur but some parts do look tired. Plus they didn't serve dinner and its a reasonable drive down very windy roads to get a meal.
An eccentric idiosyncratic hotel. It may not be to everyone's taste but we had a delightful stay. We had a superior suite and it was huge! A bedroom, great bathroom, hallway and living room. And a massive terrace with views over Rhodes. The whole area was very atmospheric with the ruined buildings nearby and surrounding pine forest. A very different experience to any other you will have in Rhodes.

SwedenOur room was so dirty, someone’s beard from shaving was in the bathroom. The whole room was dirty. The carpet was disgusting. Above the door there was a window to the hallway - that is fully lit all night. The bed is so uncomfortable. In other words, no sleep. No fresh shower. We also tried to avoid electrocution as the wiring is dangerous, and we saw one of the sockets have already been on fire. It’s so sad as the property is beautiful and really could be a dream!
The house is beautiful! And could be such a romantic get away! We came here for our honeymoon. But needs renovation - and cleaning. And new everything in the rooms.

TurkeyBreakfast could be a little rich. And also would be nice to be served before 9:00 am.
Hotel was enchanting. I like it`s vintage style which is originally made up when built in 1929. Being only the building around, surrounded by the pines, beautiful view, rooms with high ceiling, clean and old style furniture, lovely restaurant. It`s gonna be exciting experience to stay here. I would definitely stay again.

RussiaThe room and the balcony were dirty. And in general, the rooms need a little renovation, especially bathroom. Also, please, add kettles to your rooms!
Wonderful location and silence. Good breakfast. The hotel(which has a rich history) is like from old films.

FranceA inexistent service- No room cleaning for 3 days- Too much dust- Hotel closed when I arrived (in spite my confirmation form precising my arrival time!)- The next day, a call at 0900 PM telling me the hotel will be closed, the house keeper having to set up at 0700AM the next morning- Luckily enough, I was already in the parking lot- A performance, when you consider that the first restaurant is at 20mn from the hotel and that greek people never finish a dinner before 9PM!!!
A fantastic location- An 'out of space' hotel- Really good when you look for loneliness

United Arab EmiratesIt is quite isolated. for me it was a plus, but if you don’t drive can be challenging. the hotel though can provide airport transfer on request.
If you are looking for a place to switch off your mind, go for it! It is so silent and relaxing there. The forest around is something unique. I felt like in a movie. Sotiris and Bogdan made my stay there unforgettable. Thank you!
