Spectacular location with private access to a beach no more than a hundred yards from property. Located approximately 1 mile from the main town on the island, Vathi. Our room had a balcony overlooking the beach.

Spacious, clean, comfortable beds, well equipped. Balcony is amazing. Sitting on it and drinking beer during and after sunset was my favourite. The hosts are very polite and helpful. Every recommendation. Oh yes, the beach is very nice with a lot of natural shadows.

The only minor change I would suggest is to place a topper on the beds for increased softness.

View of Dexa Bay was unparalleled. Being so close to Vathi without being in the bustle of the city was unique as far as I can tell from the rental options. This was exactly the vacation we had hoped for. Also, you can walk to Dexa beach, enjoy exercise in the olive grove or swim in the sea, literally in your front yard. Location is the crowning jewel of this property. Hosts had perfect mix of attentiveness: polite, available and unobtrusive. Daily room service was unexpected and helpful. I will be recommending this property in my travel review to be published on Thatch.

Very clean and spacious apartment, good position to go around the island, 2 minutes by car from the main city with all kinds of services. Daily housekeeping was much appreciated. Stunning view of Dexia Beach located just in front of the property. Highly recommended.

Exiting the driveway was tricky. Hard to see oncoming cars on the left side.

The view of the water and the mountains from the small balcony of the studio apartment was beautiful.

the location is amazing. The apartment is clean and functional. The views from the balconies are as good if not better than apartments twice the price. The little beach was clean, quiet and shaded by amazing olive trees not being a two minute walk from your front door. Our hosts were always at hand with great contact should you require anything.

The apartments overlook the peaceful bay of Dexa within 20 minutes walking distance of Vathi. We had a lovely stay in a studio apartment which is very well thought out for self catering. Evi was very helpful and made us feel very welcome.

You do need a car or be willing to get a taxi to go out for dinner as the walk into Vathy wasn’t very safe after dark (no pavements and a windy road). No closer tavernas aside from the beach bar during the day with limited menu.

The location was excellent, just above a pebble beach with calm sea and a wonderful setting for swimming. Lovely views. Our apartment was very clean and well maintained. The host was very pleasant and helpful. Air conditioning & WiFi.

Sun loungers provided by apartment near sea are very old, broken, and uncomfortable. Need replacing. Some serving dishes needed in kitchen eg for salad and serving spoons

If you are on the first floor (as our apartment was), you will experience some noise from the apartments above. While the location is great for the beach, you will need a taxi (fairly cheap) or a car to go anywhere else. The road into Vathy (the nearest town) is narrow and busy with no pavement and not at all suitable to walk along, especially in the evening.

Large well-equipped apartment with lots of storage and excellent air conditioning. Great views. Very comfortable beds. Large fridge freezer, hob, grill and oven. Apartment is very close to the lovely beach (approx 100m) with direct access from the accommodation. The beach is safe for swimming for all ages. Sunbeds are free of charge for Forkis guests. Lots of olive trees for shade. Panos the apartment owner operates a great beach bar with a good choice of drinks and fresh home-cooked traditional Greek food. The owners live on site and were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay.

It was hard to differentiate between cold (luke warm) and hot water (luke warm) The shower sliding door needs attention as it was difficult to open/close. These were 2 minor observations that stopped me scoring the apartment 10

Fantastic location sat in super grounds right next to the sea. The apartment was comfy and well set out for self catering. We had a fabulous 5 day stay here and if we ever return to Ithaca then Forkis apartments will be our choice of accommodation.
