The bed was 'ok' but could be more comfy. The heating and hot water were a little tricky, but wasn't a big issue. Driving in the town (basically just coming and going) and parking were a bit tight.

The town was great, although we stayed at the very end of the off season, there were still a few things open - 2 supermarkets, bakery (YUM), the hair dresser and at least 2 of the restaurants. The small beach is very well protected. The host was very friendly and helpful. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and later had a nice get to know each other conversation, even though he was super busy preparing for the high season. The hosts sister looked after house keeping and left behind some home made snacks like cheese pie or Spanakopita. We stayed in the 'modern' room which was very big with a large terrace offering up good sea / town views. There are a few other more 'antique' type rooms that looked great too.

Our family enjoyed the vacation and accomodation at Idili house very much and will definitely consider coming back in the future, the appartments were quite large and spacious for our family members and also featured all the commodities needed for a comfortable stay, kitchen and all the utilities were provided and the unique representation and various meals for breakfast were a bonus. The owner was kind and helped us out with all the questions throughout our stay and gave us various helpful information on what to visit and what things to try out, such as various Greek traditional meals or drinks, locations to visit or board games to try out with our family. The appartments were clean and regularily taken care of. Also, the beach, market and local restaurants were nearby and accessible on foot. We definitely recommend the appartments for families and people who want to visit Crete and have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday

Idili is a traditional old house, full of character and history: attractive and comfortable, with a pretty garden where our host, Marcos, serves great breakfasts! The house is on a quiet street in the old village, just a few metres away from an excellent taverna and a few more down to the harbour and beaches. Marcos is a warm and friendly host and really could not have done more to make us feel welcome and enjoy our stay. In fact we have already decided to return.

This was my third stay at the wonderful Idili traditional house, which gives a clue as to my rating. Markos and his family are the most wonderful hosts and could not be more helpful. Their hospitality is second to none and I have begun to feel like one of the family. The traditional old house is full of Cretan character and charm, and the spacious apartments overlook a pretty garden, where the breakfast area is situated. The breakfasts served there are remarkable, in terms of both variety and quantity. The fresh and local produce is delicious and it is served with a smile. I love everything about Idili.

That we had to leave....

We booked the honeysuckle flat and we absolutely loved it. It is very spacious, clean, beautiful and has everything we needed. The garden is gorgeous and full of jasmine flowers. A few steps away there are many lovely tavernas and shops. The atmosphere is so pleasant in the evening! But what we liked the most was how we were welcomed. Markos and Gina, thank you so much for everything! You were so helpful and made us feel like we were members of your family. We will never forget you! PS. Zack is missing his friend, your sweet cat ('Suis') so much!

At first Markos is great host! He is trying to do everything to make your holiday great. Our apartment is beautiful and th highlight is terrace. Markos is an amazing host and idili was one of the best accommodations we stayed at. The breakfast was super tasty and the accommodation is 5 minutes away from the beach which made it really easy for us to get there. The center of the village is at 3 minutes away which meant that we got to all the good restaurants super fast. Markos is really going the extra mile to make everybody feel welcomed. Everything was super cosy (just like home). 10 out of 10.

A longer stay!

The location of this beautiful old house is perfect. Edge of village so very peaceful but very close to amenities and the beach. Breakfasts served in the tranquil garden were delicious. Best of all was the hospitality. Marcos and Stella are wonderful hosts and make you feel welcome and special. This was my second visit and I will be returning.

The host (Marcos) made us feel so very welcome the entire time we were there. He went beyond any host we have ever met in the past, to do all that he could to make us comfortable and have all that we need. He went as far as to offer us his own parking spot for the duration of our stay, when he noticed we were struggling to park our rental car along the street. He was generous of his time, generous with small touches to make our stay special, and his attention to the smallest detail within the apartment is truly UNMATCHED.

We arrived here as our first destionation in crete and it was a wonderful start! Marcos is a really heartwarming, sympathic host. It would not be the same without him. The room is very nice and it has a beatiful garden where you can enjoy breakfast everyday. Also the village is small and cute and it has very lovely little Restaurants. The beach is not very special but there is a Hotel-Beach a bit further that is quite okay. Marcos was there every day to tell us about nice places or to offer us a little snack or a drink. And always with a smile and great hospitality. We felt very comfortable. All the best to you Marcos!
