Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere is nothing negative to say. Accommodation is good value for money but might be considered a little basic by some. There are a number of steep steps even when accessing from ring road, so not suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Quiet and peaceful location at top of old town. Beautiful views down to the port. Family run and helpful and welcoming.

Czech RepublicThe room equipment is older, but maintained and sufficient. A small problem is the bathroom. The shower curtain is short, water flows out of the tub during the shower. During our stay, the structure of the shower curtain was damaged, so it couldn't be pulled - attached, so in the evening we had a small pool from the bathroom :-) There are quite a few sockets in the entire apartment and the ones in the kitchen are in a rather strange, not completely safe condition, definitely outside the standard in the Czech Republic. I was a little worried about it, but nothing happened :-) However, everything was compensated by the beautiful surroundings, views and overall well-being.
IIt is difficult to rate this accommodation. Before you get to it, you will have to climb quite a hill (for healthy people in normal condition, nothing problematic, but it is good to expect it). The reward is a beautiful view, from our balcony we had a view of the whole island from the castle, over the port, the center and the rest of the city - white houses with red roofs..it was breathtaking. The balcony was the biggest asset of the room, without it I would rate the accommodation much worse. The apartment was really spacious, the mattress was hard, which blew me away, and everything was tidy and clean. The owner was very nice and pleasant. We felt very safe throughout our stay.

United KingdomWe were prepared for the apartment to be high up but feel that people need warning of the many steps up from the port. we class ourselves as being fit but after 5 days the walk up and down twice a day became a bit of a 'slog' even for us - glad we had no moany teenagers with us or older/slightly less fit relatives. No curtains/blinds on kitchen window which meant we were woken up by glorious sunshine until I managed to rig towels up to cover it. Shower curtain was a little short which meant bathroom floor was awash! Not really enough kitchen utensils, crockery etc but to be honest host would probably have helped if I'd asked.
The view from the private balcony was absolutely amazing. The room was spacious and bed was comfortable. The air con and wifi were both good. Great to be somewhere in Greece where we could happily drink the tap water!

GreeceThere was no shampoo in the room, neither is shampoo offered. Remember to bring it with you! There is no super market nearby, so we had to climb up and down the town to get some. Also, no hairdryer is available and the shower's curtain was not really closing.
Amazing location, overlooking the bay of Skopelos. The property is structured in various levels and includes several, different rooms. You have the choice of losing yourself in the beautiful streets of the town, or reaching it with your own vehicle via the road right above it. We were offered the option to pay by card, which came as a surprise as it was not mentioned on booking.com.

United KingdomIn order to get there by foot from the harbour you will need to go through a torture! It is not mentioned when you book that the accommodation is situated on a steep hill and in order to get there you need to go through meandered cobbled streets with luggage under the hot sun. There are just a few taxis in the island and so hard to find them, meanwhile renting a car is extremely expensive during peak season. It is definitely not a 10 minutes walk, there is not a sign on the entrance and the gps does not work up there! A horror when we needed to go back when returning from town. Also, there was only one aircondition in the sitting area that it is in the same area as the kitchen, none in the bedrooms and in order to keep the room cool with the hot water you needed to have it open all the time which is not good for the environment. The bathroom was old, small, outdated and for ventilation had a whole on the ceiling! (what if a mouse decided to sneak in from there?) The door to the apartment was chipped and rusty with gaps and if anyone decided to barge in they could easily do that! The kitchen was old as well with basic stuff missing and definitely it wouldn't have been easy to cook inside in the case we wanted to do that (it only had an electric appliance). No toiletries apart from small hand soaps, which is unacceptable as there is nothing around to go and buy stuff, instead you need to climb all the way down to town and climb back up! It was a coincidence that we brought our own this time! No hairdryer! The lighting was so depressing and yellowish making you feel trapped. The worst thing though was that it had only one plug for charging devices in the whole 2-bedroom apartment and that was situated in the kitchen!! The owners will certainly need to think about improving the place.
The complex of apartments is run by a family and it is situated on a hill so it has amazing views of the harbour, the sea and the castle when you walk around the edges. The place has a nice feel as you are surrounded by flowers, trees and plants, meanwhile there is a small chapel that is the jewel of the family with holy icons in. The apartment had two bedrooms but we only used one of them. The owners are really lovely and friendly.

ItalyKeep in mind it is located in the historical centre, within a complex of traditional terraced houses, thus access it might be quite difficult for people with disability. I would suggest to improve the shower curtain, it is too short so the water keeps dropping out of the shower tray.
We booked 1 night only, unfortunately, an amazing seaview studio with all the necessary facilities you might need for longer stays (fridge, kitchen, drying rack, etc...), it's a few mins away from the Venetian castle and 5' walk from the promenade, at the same time it is located in a very quiet area so you can find total piece of mind. Restaurants and basic shops are available nearby, free public parking is available on the main road which is 1' away. The host is very helpful as well, we were also able to pay by card, highly recommended!!

United States of AmericaThere might need to be signs posted with directions. The directions provided didn’t help us find the apartment. We asked 4 neighbors…. Or maybe provide turn by turn pictures to help navigate? (We came down the right stairs but there were no signs or people so we went right by the gate and got a bit lost!)
It is a lovely apartment - more spacious than in the pictures!! Had more than enough room (indoors and out) for a family of 4. Beautiful patio and views

GermanyThe furniture needs some repair, especially the the water tap in the bathroom was not really fixed. (We were afraid to break it every we used it) The mirror is quite „blind“. The shower curtain was a bit moldy and the shower fixture was broken.

NetherlandsWe were unpleasantly surprised by the place. It is old and very dark. The two windows overlook a dark ally. There is one aircondition for three rooms so in order to cool the rooms all doors should be open. In the bedroom where I was sleeping, the door could not open completely due to the bed behind it. Also, in the whole apartment there are two sockets to charge mobile phones etc. both of which are located in the kitchen. The bathroom is very basic, the curtain for the shower is too short, causing all the water to run onto the bathroom floor.

United KingdomVery dark and small property, about 16 squared m, broken shower-we repaired it ourselves not helpful host at all, no hot water night or morning time, poor English spoken and lack of understanding, the door lock brocken and the door was cracked and had holes-bot closed properly, only one socket in the whole property-above an old electric hobs, only one photo available about the double bedroom apartment outside. Be careful everyone, do not ruin your holiday being their guest. Paid €140.00 cash for one night, did not provide receipt.

GreeceThe room was at the top of the hill. It was a hard climb up. You have to have some kind of vehicle. The room was old. There were no amenities of any kind ( soap, shampoo etc) and for the price I found it unexceptable. Also the sink was barely working we had to use the shower instead. Also the ac was across the bed making it near impossible to use it as we laid on the bed
The owner was very polite and the room was very clean. The view from the balcony was amazing
