Amazing villa in olive trees grove
    • Business trip

    • Villa with Private Pool
    • Stayed 12 nights

We stayed at Villa Maria (Villa II) for 12 nights. If you can choose among Villa Eleni and Villa Maria when making the booking, I'd recommend Villa Maria, since its position is kinda more private (surrounded by the olive trees grove, which is fantastic). There is nothing "luxury" about the villa but it is really nice, clean and cosy. Tere are 4 bedrooms in total (2 downstairs - double bed and two single beds and 2 upstairs (with the similar setup). There is a bathroom on each floor (2 in total). Kitchen has all the amenities. The outside pool is a special thing - water is very warm (at least in summer) and we all really enjoyed it. There is a nice BBQ setup! In overall, the villa territory is beautiful, you're really enjoying it:) Lots of parking space. And btw, yes, a car is a must due to the villa location. Nearest (and a really nice beach) is in Panormo town (3-5min drive from the villa). There is a Skepasti Tavern (closest to the villa) which is 3min drive or 15min walk. Nearest minimarket is in the same Skepasti village - 5min walk but it's very small and has the basic things only (still, better something than nothing). The other "supermarket" is 5min drive but in general, if you're outside of Heraklion or Chania, majority of grocery stores are small, not really convenient (anyways, you can still buy most of the thing you need, of course). If it's your first time on Crete (or in this area of Crete), do go to the town of Rethymno - it is an amazing, beautiful greek town with lots of shops, restaurants and cafes! It is about 25min drive down there but it definitely worth it. We like Rethymno MUCH more than Chania. Special thanks to the Villa hosts! They are VERY nice, polite and hospital. Never bothering you but visiting the pool area every morning and making sure things are set and ready for your next day. They brought us their home-made olive oil and oranges we made fresh juice of.
