To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I really love the location. it is in the middle of everything. Restaurants, bakery, and mini groceries are just next doors and across the street. 3min walk to the central bus station. 5min walk to the beautiful Caldera cliffs where you can watch the famous sunset . Very friendly and helpful staffs especially Margaret, who even called us to confirm our time arrival and some information on how to get to the hotel. Really appreciate it. Our room is always cleaned and provided with new towels, and so with tea, coffee, and bottled water every day.

In a very handy location just off the Town square. Room appeared to be newly renovated and spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water was provided each day. Air conditioning in room but not needed in November.

United Arab EmiratesWe informed the reception during check-in time that we will be checking out 11am on our last day but one day before checkout, there was another reception who called at around midnight to ask about the checkout time so apparently the other staff didnt inform her. It was very inconvenient coz we were already asleep. Other than that though, everything was great.
Room was kept very clean. Location was amazing. Very near the bus stop and very near to the caldera views which we loved.

I wasn't sure what to expect with Pelican Hotel, as it was incredibly reasonably priced. Santorini is notoriously expensive for accomodation and we were travelling during peak times. I rarely give 100% on all categories for a hotel, but Pelican Hotel absolutely deserves it. 30 seconds walk from the main square of Fira and a 3 min walk to the main bus stop to the rest of the Island. I was travelling with 4 senior citizens ranging in age from 85 to 65 and was really worried about steps and climbing. This is one of the few hotels in Fira Centre where the taxi can stop right outside the hotel. We were given 2 rooms on the ground floor, with a huge balcony in the larger room. Beds were incredibily comfortable in what resembled a cave style room. My parents loved how close it was to all the eateries and shops and a fantastic local bakery. This hotel made their holiday. There is also an amazing flower decked restaurant affiliated to the hotel called Pelican Kipos which is highly recommended. The staff could not have been kinder and made excellent recommendations for local eateries.

location was absolutely perfect. staff extremely helpful and friendly (both Margarita's were so nice to talk to whenever we walked by or needed to ask anything). very clean and spacious room. huge bonus was the roof top terrace to hang out at night and an extra huge bonus was the cafe/restaurant right next door which we enjoyed having breakfast and random drinks at throughout the day.

A very warm welcome and professional information at the reception desk. The entire hotel and the rooms are very lovingly furnished. The bathroom was very clean and well equipped. There is a large, very beautiful terrace where you can sit together comfortably in the evenings.
