I was surprised that we were charged an extra 8 euros for the two nights hotel fee when booking.com said they’d paid that charge.

The view was great from the 8th floor restaurant . We had a lovely glass of wine and appies in the evening without a reservation. The location was Very close to the acropolis and the national gardens. Beds and pillows were super comfy. The area seemed really safe and walkable. The restaurant staff in the areas close by were so polite and gracious.

I spend a lot of time to prove that I had another room and didn't need to pay extra. Eventually everything was good but I have spend much time after a long trip. The road to the underground garage was quite small even for a small SUV. Only for experienced drivers.

A Beautiful 360 view both to Acropolis and The Temple from the breakfast terrace. Our room was at the corner and it has a nice view. Comfortable big beds. The garage was small but ok.

Location of this hotel is very good. It is close to Acropolis & Museum, very easy to get food as there are a lot of resto near Museum or Acropolis, close to AB supermarket as well. They have parking space but not much & we use it for free. Breakfast area of this hotel is excellent, you can see Acropolis & other site from the roof top, especially sunrise & probably sunset as well. I stay there twice, 2 days after arrived Greece & 2 days before left Greece. I like it so much.

Nothing - it was perfect.

Perfect location between the Acropolis Museum/Metro and the Temple of Zeus. Glorious 8th floor restaurant serving delicious modern Greek food, with incredible views of the Acropolis, where breakfast was also served. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room and bathroom were a good size, with small balcony overlooking the Temple of Zeus.

The rooms were very nice and comfortable with nice bathrooms. The specialness comes at the roof top restaurant with views of the Acropolis. The breakfast was also there and it was delicious with lots of variety. The staff were all very kind and helpful. We needed to stow our luggage until leaving for our flight, which they handled with ease and swiftness upon our return.

The breakfast menu was a bit limited, I would have liked to have a larger selection of fresh fruit.

The hotel was lovely, and the staff was friendly and super helpful. I liked our room, it looked onto a back street but it had a small balcony and it was bright and clean. The view from the bar/breakfast room was breathtaking! The location was also great, only a few minutes' walk from the Acropolis and all the central areas.

Front desk people were direct and not helpful. I asked if we could switch room but they were so quick to not even looking if it was an option.

We cannot think of anything we didn't like at the hotel. To us it was the perfect accommodation for our trip :)

If you are visiting Athens for some sightseeing like we did, this is the perfect hotel. Everything can be reached easily by foot, the hotel has a beautiful view to the Acropolis from the breakfast area and our room (#307) had a direct view to the Temple of Zeus. We felt absolutely welcome during our 4-day stay. All the staff members that we met were super lovely and hospitality is noticeably one of the hotel's key values. Thank you especially to Areti, who was our highlight every time we returned to the hotel in the evening. Many greeting from Germany from Susi and me :) We were also very happy with our room. It was very clean, both of us found the beds very comfortable and the shower and the balcony were very big. The only thing we missed were maybe some chairs on the balcony or maybe a few more towel hangers in the bathroom. The breakfast area on the 8th floor was another highlight during our stay. The view to the Acropolis was absolutely stunning and the food was also very lovely - there were different types of bread, cereals, egg dishes, bacon, spinach pies, different types of bread spreads, cakes, fresh orange juice, coffee, tea and more. The only thing that was maybe missing were fresh cut fruits, but this is definitely no negative point, just a suggestion. The staff members at the breakfast area were also very kind. All in all, we were absolutely happy to stay at the Athens Gate Hotel and we would definitely return, once we are back in Athens.

I could not fault this hotel. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, the view was excellent, location was central to all the main attractions and the room was spacious and spotless. Breakfast was just right and set you up for the day.

It is my third time in this hotel and whenever I will visit Athens, it will always be 'my' hotel. Just great, not far from the Acropolis and excellent if you rent a car.

Excellent location. Walking distance to all the main sights and the train stations. View of the Acropolis from the restaurant - what a privilege to have this amazing view every morning during breakfast!
