눇It is a great place if you are looking to live a bit of the quiet village life of Corfu and at the same time be close to the beautiful beaches. Fantastic views. Ample, clean, all bedrooms with air condition (some days temperatures could be high in Corfu), full kitchen, fridge, washing machine working very well. It is great that the main bedroom had its bathroom in suite and a private balcony. BbQ area is wonderful. I would add an air conditioner in the lounge area to have the temperature more evenly distributed around the house. Make sure you rent a car, as although the house is approx. 6 km from the closest beach, it is a steep road to get to the village. If you like a soft mattress, ensure you tell the owner. He is a great guy and very willing to help. Fantastic welcome basket. Highly recommended the house.

눇Cottage House Bala is situated in the picturesque village of Spartylas, offering breathtaking views over the Ionian sea, Corfu town, and the distant coast of mainland Greece. The house is extremely spacious, easily accomodating 8 people. It has a nice big kitchen, two and a half bathrooms, AC in every room, a large living area, and well planned verandas: a private one for the master bedroom, overlooking the large patio that opens up into a beautiful garden with a few tress, table, exterior oven, and a hammock. It is a traditionally decorated/built house with a couple of Spanish elements, like the arches. Yet, what is mostly impressive is the multilevel layout, stone floor, high ceilings, vintage furniture, all of which gives it its special character. The owner, Aris, was a nice host who left for us a basket of traditional goodies: Kalamata olives and a small bottle of olive oil, Greek cookies, chocolate, and a bread. That was kind of him and appreciated. The village has its own unique character as it's perched in the mountain of Pantokrator. The only thing that we found a bit overwhelming (esp. on the day of our arrival) is the winding roads to get there, although it eventually became part of the adventure/experience. You should count on good 15-20 minutes to drive down or up the mountain. Once you get to the coast the road becomes straighter towards the direction of the town – about another 15 minutes. Corfu is a lush island and driving through winding and narrow roads is unavoidable in order to explore, get to the beaches or visit other attractions. Overall, Bala House is an off the beaten path accommodation that provides relaxation and spectacular views. We would gladly recommend it!

눇This house in a lovely village definitely made our holiday perfect. Cozy interior, stunning views, beautiful garden. In some days I even did not want to leave the villa, because being there in itself is a pleasure. Another advantage is that one of the best beaches on the island (in my opinion) - Barbati is the nearest beach to the villa. 10-15 mins of driving
