Room 410, Sincere Building, 83 Argyle Street, Mongkok, Hong Kong, Hong Kong

눉Okay, now in every good side, there is a bad side. I'm not saying this isn't a good place to stay, but personally, I don't think I'd stay here for more than 3 nights. Maybe it's just me, but these are some points to think about. 1. The room is quite small, as most rooms are of HK guesthouses. There's not much room to place luggages there, especially if you have a lot, unless it's under their high beds. 2. The bed is small too, especially if you're a tall person. Luckily, I'm not, but a bit cramped for a person past 5'7 I guess. 3. The beds are hard. My back hurt after sleeping there for two nights. But like I said, you do get what you pay for. 4. The comfort room is cramped, as in seriously cramped. The shower is over the toilet and you could barely move in it. If you're claustrophobic, this place wouldn't be too great for you. 5. The rooms are fairly clean, but I sneezed a lot. Might just be me and my asthma, but it isn't super clean. 6. No windows. Feels like a cell, but if you don't mind a room without a view, it won't be an issue. 7. Some of the things inside the room are already rusty. 8. The toilet spews out water every time you flush it. I don't know if this is the same for the other rooms, but mine did. If you're not finky, again, this may not be an issue.
눇first of all, I would like to point out that this place is actually not bad. Let's start with the good points first. 1. The guesthouse contacts you to reconfirm your booking and answers Emails quite fast. 2. The managers help walk you through the whole process of checking-in with a smile. 3. They do offer discounted tickets for certain tourist attractions, which is great since if you're looking for cheaper tickets, it's within arm's reach. 4. The room is *quite* clean and has every basic thing you need, only in reception, and shampoo. But you get what you pay for, so no complaints here. 5. Free water (good clean water), hot and cold available. 6. The staff are very helpful. Even if some do not understand English, they would try to connect and understand what you're saying and answer you in the best possible way they can. 7. Free WiFi. Enough said. :) It's fast as well. 8. 24 hr Elevator on one side, which is good since we're always out at night. 9. Very good location! It's just across the Ladies Market, very near Nathan Road, very near MTR Stations. Money changer is just downstairs. a 24hr McDonalds nearby :) In short, I really like the location! 10. No hawkers below trying to get you to buy something. I felt pretty safe. 11. The room's facilities are basically there. There's a cool working aircon, a ceiling fan and a small TV. They even replaces the remote when they noticed it wasn't as presentable without us asking. :) 12. They clean the room a bit when they see the please clean up sign hanged outside. Anyway, overall I think the good outweighs the downside. It is a good place to stay, as I've said, because it has a good location. Overall the staff were great and friendly and accommodating. The place is "you get what you pay for" type. For backpapckers and those who enjoy a good adventure with a rather low price, I think this is a good place.
