Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyThe beds and pillows are the worst I have ever slept on. None of us could get good sleep because of the hard mattress and old pillows. I recommend investing in new ones. Also there was 1 hairdryer per whole floor kept in the kitchen but someone took it and didn't put it back for others to use which was a bit of a problem for my very long hair. It would be nice to have one hairdryer per room.
The location was perfect, a very peaceful neighbourhood and it was close to everything we needed. The place was clean. There was a possibility of self check in which is great concerning the fact we arrived late and left in a rush.

CroatiaThe bathroom is the only problem - the doors that separate the bathroom from the rest of the room are not your standard doors, but a sliding "accordion-style" doors that are not possible to lock (I stayed in the room nr 1, other rooms might have different solutions). We did not mind this that much, but it could get tiring in the case of a longer stay or if the person you are traveling with is not someone you are that close with (business partners or "friends of a friend"). Other thing is the shower - the shower curtain takes some time to get used to, first night ended with a lot of water surrounding it given how small the shower is (this fact is just fine, i did not come there to enjoy a spa stay) and how hard it is to cover the borders of the shower with the curtain.
The price-to-value ratio is excellent. This is a typical shared-space accommodation with a kitchen complete with all the utensils you could possibly need. The rooms are well isolated and cozy, serving almost entirely for rest. The place is clean and we could hear the staff keeping it tidy in the hall during the midday, the bed is really comfy. The carpet that covers the whole room seems to be a bit older which might be a problem for people more sensitive to dust (there was none on the furniture, but older carpets seem to always collect the dust the most so take care).

CroatiaThere is a fetid smell in the bathroom number 2. The shower head was broken. Suggestion: Put a sign in the kitchen that says you cannot make noise from 10 PM to 7 AM. Although the owners indicate this when you make the booking, some guests do not respect it.
Cleanliness and very comfortable size of the room and kitchen with everything you need. Room with balcony. The location is near the center (Tram stop 3 blocks) and has an excellent wifi connection.

CanadaThe Guesthouse Sermageova is near a lot of commodities such as cafes and shops! It is easily accessible by public transport and we could access the old part of Zagreb by 20 min walk! The price is very good for all those services!

CanadaThe bathroom had an unfortunate sewage smell if the fan was left off; we had to leave it running for long periods of time (which I think was a bit annoying for the host, but otherwise it smelled bad)
The room was big and comfortable, lots of light, great little balcony, towels provided and comfy bed. Easy to walk to transit, between the main park and downtown, and a good neighborhood. Close to groceries as well!

United KingdomA little overpriced for what was offered. Maybe this is the case for Zagreb overall?
Quiet. Comfortable bed. Strong WiFi. Good location - not too far away from shops. Use of Kitchen was helpful. Kettle available also useful.

BulgariaDon't go there in the summer. There is no A/C, even the cord is cut off to avoid accidental comfortable temperatures.
Very nice location, parking inside the yard is certainly a big plus (although a paid option, which is not mentioned in the listing, 5 EUR/day, again totally worth it). Self check-in was flawless, too.

CyprusThe owners have 2 small dogs that go out of the building at 10am and 10pm. they can bark a lot and be very loud. when you have to wake up at 6am to catch a train you want to sleep from 9pm. Keep in mind you will wake up by them if you don't have ear plugs. Also the bed is very squeaky and makes noise at every turn..
The studio is large, at a safe neighborhood, 3 mins walk from the tram stop. Also well equipped with the exception of a good pan (and/ or a baking tray). We stayed for a week and we needed to have a proper kitchen to prepare meals and it was difficult at times. There is no washing machine - there is a laundromat just around the corner. There is no iron or ironing board. There was no hair dryer either but we asked and were given one 😊
