Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumSpacious and clean apartment on the ground floor + lovely terrace outside. 10-minute walk to the Pile gate. Quiet street. Supermarket 5 minutes away. We loved staying here during our 5-day stay in beautiful Dubrovnik. Excellent vegie restaurant is Nishta, in the old town, close to the Pile gate. Another excellent restaurant is Konum, on the square in front of the former jesuit church.

United KingdomI found the towels are on the hard side and should possibly be replaced. Whilst the Wi-Fi was decent enough to watch videos and generally using the internet it was practically impossible to stream anything. Luckily for us we had plenty of entertainment when we weren’t out and about anyway. The toiletries situation was neither here nor there as it seems that whatever previous occupants had left behind was still there. There was some old soap in a holder and a quarter of a bottle of shower gel and some shampoo. That could’ve/should be thrown away. The blinds/curtains for the room don’t fully block out the sun in the morning so that could disturb some people’s sleep.
Nice outdoor area where you can have a drink and relax. Table and chair set along with sun loungers in the patio area. Big and Comfortable bed. Useful kitchen area and fridge to use when not eating out. Good shower and given extra beach towels to take on our travels. The air con was a life saver for us as it was regularly over 30 degrees whilst we were in Dubrovnik. Welcome drink was offered on arrival and good communication throughout the stay with any questions we had. Good location 20 minutes from town and plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and bars close by. Decent Wi-Fi and overall a good sized room

SwitzerlandWe found nothing to complain about.
Was a great stay from start to finish. No issues with independent check-in, very kind host who provided all information we could need and ensured we had the best stay possible. Location of the apartment is ideal, really only a 15-minute walk from the old town, and the steps keep you fit. Especially enjoyed the patio, peaceful and perfect spot for breakfast or a break from sightseeing.

PolandHuge disappointment regarding the parking. Even tough it is marked that parking is one of the amenities it is simply not there and you cannot park at this street since it is so narrow that a car can barely fit there. You have to park either at one of the street in the neighborhood which is paid anyhow or find a slot at the underground parking which is approximately 1km away. WiFi works literally only in one room. and the bed in the main bedroom cries for replacement. It makes squeaking sounds already when you throw a towel on it not even mentioning laying down and trying to fall asleep. Garden and the terrace in a front of the building requires renovation.
Very good check in process and all instructions sent a day before our arrival. Very clean and spacious bathroom. Air-condition in every room. Great prosecco bar literally across the street with an amazing view to the sea. 10 minutes walking distance from the Old Town and the city walls.

GreeceThe only negative is that the apartment does not have window covers and the blackout curtains are unfortunately not enough, resulting in us waking up quite early.
It was very clean, Tosca and her husband were very kind and helpful. Quiet neighborhood, the bed was very comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped. Relatively close to the old town.

EstoniaThe trash can is... some old rusty bucket (come on, the proper trash can does not cost that much ). The microwave needed an extension power cable accross the kitchen, as there is no power outlet where it's sitting. The beds in the main bedroom are uncomfortable and super-squeeky ( could use some oil ) as well as the door in the bathroom. WiFi works only in the living room and not super fast. Imho, kitchen needs renovation.
Great location. The views in the area are simply amazing. The apartment is not far from a groceries store, but be prepared to walk up and down the stairs a lot. The apartment has almost everything that is needed for comfortable living. The host provided a ton of info on WhatsApp before we arrived and greeted us with a bottle of wine. The apartment is in a walking distance from the old town and several beaches, but again - lots of stairs, so be prepared for a workout :D

ArgentinaThere is no privacy since it is right next to the owner’s house. The owner touched our stuff when we were not there. At check out she told us the day before we had to leave the place at 10:00 when in booking it said at 10:30, and at 10:00 she was knocking on the door and almost open the door without us letting her in. Also the day before she told us she could keep our luggage since our flight was at 15:00 but because we left the studio at 10:20 she made us carry our luggage around all day long.
The property had a good location and was very comfortable
