Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Excellent location with a short walk (steps) to local restaurants and the Lapad beach. Milo is a friendly host and couldn’t be more helpful. Sea views from the balcony are stunning.

United States of AmericaIt was NOT a negative to us, but if you have any difficulty with steps, you may need to choose a different place to stay. The steps add to the charm of the city and allowed us to see the gardens of private homes while walking up and down to the promenade.
We loved that our balcony had a spectacular view of the sea and the city. The host was friendly and knowledgeable about the city and area. He offers pickup and drop off from the airport, as well as interesting guided tours of nearby areas such as Medugorje and Montenegro.

United KingdomMilo is the perfect host! We arranged for him to pick us up from the airport for a reasonable price (and later we arranged for the return journey too which was no problem at all). Cocktails prepared by his wife on arrival at the apartment was a lovely touch and Milo offered lots of information on the drive in too. Our room was lovely, clean and the bed was so comfy. We found out that we needed to turn the shower on slowly or the force of the water sent the shower head spraying the bathroom! No issue with the water temp though! The view from the little balcony was stunning - we miss this already! There is a little shared kitchen area if you wish to use this and Milo sometimes watches TV there too, It was lovely having him greet us back of an evening if he was there, asking how our day was and making sure we were ok. There is a number of steps down to Lepad/Sunset Beach (around a 10 min walk in total) from the apartment so we cheated and did half steps and then walked down the street instead of using the 2nd set of steps. The bus stop is close by to access The Old Town or Gruz Port. Milo offered a few excursions and we left it rather late to ask if we could go to Bosnia & Hercegovina but this was no problem for Milo and he took us there, stopping along the way for photographs and telling us lots of things about the areas we were driving through as well as suggesting the most delicious food for lunch. Milo offered us free time as much as we needed at the places we stopped so we didn't feel rushed. The hospitality offered by Milo and his family is superb and I would highly recommend booking this apartment if you'd like a good base with a friendly and informative (and super helpful host!) Hvala Milo, Hvala.

RomaniaI stayed too short time...
Our holiday was wonderful. The house îs located relatively near the beach (10-15 minutes walk on foot), but up on the hill, the panorama îs incredible. The host is very kind and very knowledgesble, a really encyclopedia. He helped us with tips on dining places, changed money, tourist spots etc. I enjoyed the cocktail, the pie and other small gifts. The host was our driver and an excellent guide on the trip from Bosnia - Herțegovina

IrelandLovely room with a class balcony overlooking Lapad! The Host Milo was very welcoming telling us what all to look for in Dubrovnik and gave us a complimentary drink :) The place was not far from Dubrovnik Old Town, there are plenty options to get a daily bus. We also walked it home a few evenings as the views were lovely, it only took approx 40mins. There are nice food and drinks restaurants in Lapad, all walking distance and cheaper too compared to Old Town.

United KingdomI have a disability so the steps leading up to the apartment were challenging. However, there are very few places you can visit in Dubrovnik without having to climb a ridiculous amount of steps. You have to trade the price of a taxi fare for the peace and quiet and the views so its not such a big deal to be able to relax in such a lovely setting.
Milos is an exceptional host. He lives to make his guests comfortable and uses his extensive knowledge of the area to ensure any plans you have can be done in the best way for you. Whether that's the best places to eat, or the offer of a private excursion or the amazing cocktails supplied by his wife on arrival, he really has thought of everything to ensure your stay at Cosmopolitan House is one you will enjoy for all the right reasons. Also, the views from our balcony were outstanding.

He was available for us 100% of the time, with such a nice energy. Also loved the fact that the rooms were with different colors. We stayed in the yellow room and it was everything amazing !!!

United States of AmericaThe bathroom is abit tight for me. However, it is very clean and the trash is taken out everyday.
The location is really good. I’m glad that I stayed away from the Old Town. The house is in Babin Kuk area that has great beach, fantastic restaurants and promenade for walking along the coast and the house is just less than 5 min walk from all those amenities. The sunset is really great from this site of the town. You have the sea view from the room. The host Milo is super kind, helpful and informative. The old town can be reached by bus in 5 min and the bus stop is also less than 5 min walk. I’m glad I chose this place in Dubrovnik and the price is really good.

United KingdomWe stayed in the beautiful purple room. Very comfortable bed with nice big pillows. The view was amazing! Great air conditioning cooled down the room very quick. Our host was very welcoming, provided us with cocktails on arrival and a few other treats to try during our stay. He was very happy to help and offers day trips to nearby places. Bathroom facilities all worked well and very clean. We thought we may regret not staying in the old town but the bus stop is very close and the bus journey is short. We bought a 3 day bus pass so had no issues. This also meant we got to see a lot more of Dubrovnik that we may have missed, some beautiful walks and many good food options just down the stairs!

The room: It has a lovely view from the balcony. It’s very well located to reach the old town by bus which runs every 10-15 minutes. The sunset beach is just 10 minutes walk+stairs (170 in total😅). Our Host: He welcomed us with warmth and offered us snacks and juice. Before leaving, he offered us a souvenir and was gracious enough to drop us to the airport at a very reasonable price.
