Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CroatiaIt would be great to have a Breakfast at 6.30 hrs instead of 8.00hrs due worktime of mine. Yet, there were many students, youngsters, better be by their ways, I guess.
Great location, close to the amenities: - Maximir - cleanest neighborhood, bone air, out of stressful center - no outside from noise area, comfy part of Capitol of Croatia. It takes 10 min on tram to the City Center, 40 mins a pied. Clean and cozy. The Study League - Nightshifts were used for studying and job apps at the Hostel Lounge and foyers. Youngsters doesn't bother of the elderly in the same rooms. Many ethnicities, English widely spoken. Just the way ev it should be.

United KingdomThe Latina receptionist on duty was rude and blunt when I checked out and handed back the dorm key and card. She seemed to be new there so I reckon she ought to be given some training course on customer service and general manners.
This is my one-stop place whenever I pay a visit to Zagreb. Generally the staff are helpful and cheerful, especially the legendary night shift chap 'Javier' who usually checks me in whenever I arrive late. The beds are clean, comfy, and spacious, in quiet dorms, making them ideal for a good night's sleep. The lockers provided are spacious at no extra charge, making it a perfect option for guests who don't travel light. If you enjoy sports the Maksimir stadium is a stone's throw away, in addition to the bike rental facilities near by. There is a warm atmosphere in the narrow yet welcoming common area where I made several friendships with fellow travellers during my multiple visits. If you feel peckish there is a Mlinar bakery next door to the accomodation, although their pasteries are no match for the ones at Dubravica bakery... mmmm take me back to Zagreb, the aroma mmm.

SpainNothing I didn't like. Apart the fact the hostel is always very busy, the kitchen is also very busy that at lunch time and dinner time, we have to que and wait to coock our food. I THINK WE ARE VICTIMS OF HOSTEL SUCCESS.

SlovakiaThe room was quite small, but the main problem was there was smoke inside the room, getting in somehow from the floor below, where there is a bar which permits smoking. Opening the single roof window didn't help much to remove the cigarette scent, making it hard to sleep.
Nice, clean room, just enough for a single person. Location was decent and pricing was adequate and affordable. Staff was helpful and stayed up to allow for a late night return to let me in.

BulgariaNot everyone is a traveller (in winter time), they were a few people that lived there but they were nice. The location is not super central but it's still very easy to get to the center in a short time with the trams that stop nearby.
The whole hostel is being cleaned daily by hardworking volunteers. The staff is really nice and stored my luggage after check-out. The bed sheets are clean and fresh. The kitchen is well-equipped, the couch was the comfiest couch I've put my bûtt on

QatarKitchen is small for that huge amount of people staying. In the booking it was not mentioned that neither boys nor girls rooms or mixed . According to 2 female staffs it was us to think that if it was not written then it’s mixed. I requested for lower bunk bed before in booking but when i checked in they told me that it was taken was someone who check-in earlier. Even if told them I requested and asked and told it’s booked for me but when i checked in i was given upper bunk bed but i insisted telling that i have lower bunk bed so she went to ask the girls who checked in earlier to give up the lower bed so those gave me the lower bunk bed. It’s was kind of frustrating because i requested and it was not considered at the time to checkin. Maybe you don’t get business for your room for girls because they stay less but still you have to consider keeping one room for girls. Because not everyone is comfortable staying with boys. In Shower cubicle water was leaking from bottom. Shower gel dispenser didn’t work. Small space common room.
Cozy and clean except the kitchen area. Location of the hostel was nearby to tram station. Some of the staffs were really nice.

IndiaProbably the only complaint I have is there are a lot of folks not sure who they are, but they call themselves volunteers and are always occupied in the kitchen. Especially it's difficult if you like to cook as the wait time is huge and the kitchen is small.
The location was very good, hostel was cozy. Had a kitchen and lobby to sit and relax. All in all a good experience
