Zadar is an extremely busy place in the summer- it is challenging to walk on the main promenade due to crowds… Choosing Falkensteiner Adriana greatly contributed to having a relaxing stay :) The hotel has a laid-back atmosphere with a nice garden and very friendly staff. Beach is right outside the garden for anyone who fancies swimming in the sea. The food is great - we had full board and it was the best decision. We were very happy with the wide selection of buffet + a la carte dishes and being able to enjoy it in the lush garden restaurant. Rooms are a little retro style, but very comfy and properly sized. Small art gallery in the lobby is a nice touch.

The rooms where a bit outdated and not matching the pictures from the reservations. The reservation could get a revamp - your amazing staff deserves it.

Fantastic and friendly staff - happy to help and chat. Lets are very welcome and praised. If you have a pet; dont hesitate, stay here. Food was fantastic and abundant. The pool was refreshingly good. Free ice cream by the pool is also a plus ;) Free covered parking.

The bed was simply too tiny for two people and me and the wife are regularly sized 😀 The hotel definitely doesn’t look like it’s a 4 star hotel - you can see that this is an old building and they just masked it very well. The AC is above the bed and your head so you can’t leave it running over night unless you wanna get a headache. For the price they could have included some free stuff from the pool bar and a free massage 😁

The garden with the pool and all the greenery around it is truly amazing and peaceful. The outside dining area was also really nice and you really feel like you’re at home in your garden eating lunch. The food was spectacular and I think it’s probably the biggest strength of this hotel and other hotels in the chain. Everything was fresh, sometimes even homemade and plenty of variety. Parking was also really close, free and had some sun protection for the cars. All in all if you’re looking to relax this is a good spot.

Don't be fooled by the exterior on arrival and slightly underwhelming reception/lobby for a 4 star hotel. The outside eating area and traditional decor and lighting create a really nice ambience to enjoy your meal, especially when the sun is coming down and surrounding areas are always clean and tidy inside and out. Unfortunately we couldn't secure the room for late check out which meant we had to use the facilities next door for showering which is a faff. I'm surprised the hotel doesn't have a dedicated shower option onsite. Also, a secure store room for the luggage would give more comfort rather than leaving everything around the reception desk.

The Adriana is a great adults only destination with a decent pool surrounded by amazing gardens set just off the beach. The food is what sets it apart from other hotels with 'made to order' fresh menus that are exceptional and really added to the enjoyment of our stay. The rooms were always cleaned to a high standard, the beds are comfortable and the room provides what you need. Only gripe would be the tiny shower cubicle! Staff on the front desk are very helpful, especially Nina who made time to work through a query with us and resolved to our satisfaction. Couple of mentions for excellent staff.....Maja and Marina who cover breakfast along with the pool lady and cleaner whose name escapes us but were first class and made us really welcome going over and above to ensure we always had what we wanted.

Lovely property and grounds with pool, a little on the outskirts of Zadar we travelled in by bus, the room had the feel of a lodge, a separate lounge and bedroom area, even a view down to the beach from the bathroom through the bedroom. The food was very good although possibly because it was very early in the season choice was a little limited. The hotel is dog friendly but we weren’t disturbed by any barking.

The only thing I will note as a "minus", was the lack of power sockets. I know, it may seem ridiculous, but when one's travelling with two mobile phones, one laptop, one tablet, one battery pack and bluetooth headphones, one always needs more power sockets! :D

I have to say that the hotel does not look very promising from the outside, but when you enter everything changes: The lobbies, the hotel corridors and the room are very well attended to, luxurious and clean. The personnel is very friendly, and of course multilingual (German and English are spoken everywhere). I had a room warmly decorated with wood, incl. a small living room and a balcony, overlooking the garden with the pine trees and the sea - absolutely what one needs to relax after a long business day. The bed was very comfortable and the bathoom was fully functional and luxurious, with shower and bathtub. Pity I had to change my stay for one night instead of two, I would have enjoyed this stay very much.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Don’t be put off by some of the other negative reviews, this place is a gem. Great staff, great location on the ocean, and a great pool. The six course dinner is worth a special mention, quality food with great service.

With its spectacular outdoor pool scenario, friendly staff and delicious food, the hotel is part of a larger complex that offers nice and spacious wellness center and other restaurants and bars right next to the beach. Overall, very nice experience.
