We knew, what we book, but the room carpet needed a cleaning. The bathroom was old and overused. Some renovation is needed in the future.

The meals were the best part, even in off season. It was great!

Our side sea view was disappointing

Traditional in style and atmosphere, surrounded by gardens and very close to the lake. Casual eateries very near by. The breakfast and dinner buffets were good, especially considering the price.

Parking should be free like in most of the hotels. The walls are thin, if other guests are loud like in our case, you cannot get a good sleep. A pair of earplugs can solve it though:) The hotel has a private beach but the chairs are not free.

Food and service was great. Most of the stuff was very nice. The position is amazing, right on the main walking boulevard. We enjoyed our stay.

Although there is a large variety of food you can choose from (I felt also that every day there is a new dish), one feels that some ingredients can be of a better quality (for example the bread felt below average).

I liked that the hotel: is very close to the Balaton lake, has clean rooms and a good variety of activities for children. I felt the staff to be very friendly and helpful.

I only did not like the price of the double room with half board, as a local it seems a bit overpriced. We had to pay for the sunbeds at the hotel’s strand.

Everything was perfect but the price. The room was clean with comfy beds and fridge. We got the topfloor east facing room with a little lake view. The breakfast and the dinner was delicious , during our stay the 7 days we got all the hungarian “musthaves” with nice dessert and fruit varieties.

The bath was raised, 1 meter above floor level, we were abobe to use it, so had to you the swimming pool showers!! Air Conditioner weak, room was always hot!, and when 30c outside, and large floor to ceiling window,s you had to draw the cutains which was a shame as had good views!

Food was excellent, facilicllities were above standart. Locatipon, 25 meter from private beach, excetional :-)

Last year, when we stayed there for 2 weeks and loved it, there were vegan options at the buffet. This time they were going to charge 6000Ft/person + 12%tax/ day and suddenly everything had butter, milk and egg in. So we couldn’t eat anything there ( after paying lots of money already for staying there) and that was the reason we left after 1 day. We couldn’t understand why it cost so much money NOT to put butter and milk into things. It’s a pity that we can never return to this hotel as it used to be our favourite.

There was no place to hang the shower head while taking a shower. You cant control the AC how you want. They control it from the reception and couldnt turn it down cool enough for me. I got it down to 23C when i asked

The room was very old - bed was luckily replaced with a newer one, but the bathroom was probably from the 90s (if not from the 80s) - I mean we were able to take a shower and clean ourselves, but I would not call it a pleasant experience. The food was mostly meat, just a few vegetarian options for dinner (but actually just side dishes with steamed vegetables - so not a proper meal, even though everything tasted great). The staff did not give us much instructions about the pool area and absolutely no instructions about the private beach area (where it is, how it works - it is not directly next to the hotel, you have to walk for about 3 minutes in a certain direction, and then use a bar code you get at the check in - we had to figure all this by ourselves). Not enough elevators for such a huge and full hotel. As there were many people in the hotel, it was very noisy at lunch and dinner.

The location of the hotel was great, the private beach is nice and clean, the hotel has a large car park (but you have to pay extra money), the swimming pool and sauna were nice. The restaurant had quite a variety of meals (especially for meat eaters), quite okay coffee for breakfast and nice choice of drinks. Also the restaurant has a terrace so you can sit outside when you have breakfast or dinner.

A little bit of investment into the bathrooms would do a huge change on a + side. Our rooms didn’t have the shower holder which is not a big deal but make the shower a bit awkward.

The hotel seen a better days as it is quite old, however everything is working as it should, the rooms are clean and have mosquito nets which is a big +, staff are very friendly and helpful, facilities are good, and the food choices and quality was 4*👍

The new segregated smoking area.The smoking area to far from the bar area and no shade during the hot weather while we were there. The restaurant getting ready for breakfast in the middle of the evening dinner the staff were very noisy,and it felt unfriendly.

A travel back in time but not certainly in a bad way. One thing's for sure: The hotel has a retro vibe in every way. The inside pool’s temperature is too cold. I don’t know what’s the point offering the same one as the Balaton. In this case most people would prefer the Balaton. The Wi-Fi is practically unusable in the room.

A huge hotel located in the best place of Balatonfüred. A three-star hotel that offers services that usually only available in higher class hotels. The price value ratio is one of the best. They have an inside pool, sauna and a private beach to the Balaton which is really nice. They offer a very good selection of food for breakfast and dinner as well in a buffet service. Cold and hot meals too. Unlimited free soft drinks (Coke and Rauch products) for dinner which is exceptional. Kind and friendly staff.

Small child beds, if you are from usa or canada its very strange for you, it's smaller than twin. Rooms,smaller then standard size, max can fit 2 people.

Very nice hotel, upgraded rooms are great, great views from balcony, polite staff, quality tasty food! Private beach. Tidy grounds. Overall excellent stay.
